CHA-LEE
Undercutting the hammer like that changes the timing of when the trigger bar disengages the sear leg. The depth of the undercut is suppose to be tuned so that the hammer pushes down on the trigger bar to disengage the sear when the hammer is forward enough so the sear lip is just past the half cock notch. CleverUsername
Is the half cock ledge shaved down on the prepped one?
Nealio
The sear wouldn't clear the 1/2 cock notch as it came from EGW, so maybe that is why so many people are having issues with these hammers lately?
