JFlowers
Are the new mags suppose to be short or long?
sschultz
It sure would be nice if they did a 170mm mag
JFlowers
By short/long I was assuming they were standard tubes... but Para's tubes have changed several times in length. The shorter ones don't work well with Dawson's basepads and big magwells.

sschultz
Has anybody tried a STI 170mm mag in a para. I have used a STI 140mm in the past and it worked. I don't want to waste the money on one and not have work. Schultz
wes777
Spoke with TT a few weeks ago, mags are not on the immediate horizon.

They may work depending on your feed ramp geometry, cartridge OAL and bullet profile, etc. Try em. I have an SVI that works fine in 2 Para frames. If they don't work, you may want to modify the mag catch to make them sit higher. If you search around the forum, you will find posts from other folks who have had good luck with unmodified guns and tubes. A perfect solution is to try to find STI for Para tubes but these are very rare. Later, Chuck
wes777
someone makes a mag catch for para that is modified to hold STI mags higher in the frame. TT runs the SVI mags in the Para frame, another good option.

sschultz
But if I switch the mag catch i would not be able to use the factory mags. Schultz
