brongy Posted April 17, 2014 Share Posted April 17, 2014 A bit off topic. Just wanted to share my experience with light springs and the 38 super. I had a singlestack in super it had a 10lb spring. The brass that were ejected had bulges. When i switched to a 13 lb spring the bulges dissappeared. I suspect the pressure was still high when the case began to eject..which caused the base of the case to expand. I dont think it affects velocity though.. But the feel of the slide moving at different speeds with various weight springs, may be perceived that the gun/load is shooting faster or slower than it really is.
