G34 CORDY
Has anyone tried the Dawson black front sight on there TS? If so what size are you using .090? I dont see any offerings from the Custom Shop but I imagine they could make something.
IronicTwitch
Did you figure out what size front sight to use? I'm interested in change to fiber front sight on my ts.
eerw
We have 7.5mm FO sight and some black sight blanks for TS guns. 6.5mm if you using the adj. rear
Lior
How relatively wide are the light bars on either side of the stock front sight post?
IronicTwitch
Thanks, Stewart. I'll add that 7.5mm fiber front sight in with my next order from your shop!
IronicTwitch
I just noticed the front sight on my new TS is missing the pin. Does the TS have the same design as the 75B on that the pin also secures a bushing in the slide? I just ordered another pin and FO front sight from CZC but I'm curious if I should not use my TS until I get the pin replaced?
IronicTwitch
Pic attached for proof. No clue when it came out, I've got about 400 rounds thru the gun so far. Edited November 27, 2013 by IronicTwitch
eerw
Hard to tell, but looks like pin is there. It is a roll pin. Replacement is cheap, so easy to buy. If you can get a sharper photo, may help.
kneelingatlas
It's there, I can see it in the first picture. Some roll pins have fewer rolls than others.
IronicTwitch
I can see daylight through the pin hole. Either way, I should have a replacement part next week. Just had me slightly concerned after reading some of the FAQ's on front sight replacement and the importance of the roll pin in the slide bushing. Thanks for the quick replies! Have a great Thanksgiving!
kneelingatlas
I should have a replacement part next week. Don't be surprised if it looks exactly the same as the one you have.

IronicTwitch
Ok, front sight has been upgraded! For other newbies out there, the roll pin that holds in the front sight is a hollow cylinder (ie, you can see through it). Some minor filing on the FO sight for fitting but looks great! I got the 1.5mm length rod which is slightly longer than the stock black blade (reduces the sight radius by 0.5mm) but should allow more light and a brighter fiber, right? Either way, I'm pleased with it! Is it April yet? I'm ready for some more USPSA action now...
