  1. I have been using a Shadow Custom for 4 years now in USPSA and it has been great. Crazy accurate, soft shooting, the grip is super comfortable just a pleasure to shoot. I like my G34 but for me its harder to shoot more accurate. The only only gripe I have with my CZ is the safety.
  2. Been using my Bladetech since 09 for my Shadow Custom and like it alot.
  3. I have GM buddy of mine that says the same thing and runs a Bladetech DOH, the only thing I don't like about it is the holster wear.
  4. +1000 to the TS! I love my 34 but my TS was awesome. Trigger was the best factory trigger I personally felt. It is heavy but I don't mind a heavy gun.
  5. Looks like I will be going with the race master looks like a good piece.
  6. Speaking about holsters should I just get a BT DOH for my edge or run a race holster?
  7. Iam looking for a good race style holster for my STI Edge what do you guys recommend thanks.
  8. I know it is a rhetorical question, but I think you hit the right ballpark. Somewhere in the 3-4k range you get the best of both form and function. Are you being serious? So you need to spend that much to get form and function I call B.S! I think "best of" was key in my post. If you look at the pictures on the original post there are marks that can be seen when the gun is dissasembled and the slide to frame fit is on the 'make er run' side instead of the make it showy side. STI is basically a competition based company and silly customers like me don't care greatly about stuff you can't see or showy stuff, as long as the gun runs hard and well and the manufacturer keeps it that way. If you can find everything that anybody might care about for 2k, great! Yeah, I have a new Jeep I paid a lot for. The back door rattles, the roof leaks, it has a lot of wind noise, under the carpet it looks like 4 year old put down some sound deadening stuff but it will go pretty much anywhere. If I just wanted it to look pretty I would have bought a Hummer... Some people choose performance over cosmetics and some don't. I like a good balance, your gun looks fine on the outside and had you chose to shoot it it may very well have run fine. It is your choice to send it back and I am sure they will make it more to your liking. Good luck with it. You should have it back by now let us all know how it turned out. I got a good laugh out of this one, paid alot for a vehicle that leaks ect you must have very low standards and I would take that pos back because you can pay alot and have something nice Next time buy a Chevy lol

  10. I had a Limited Custom in .40 and it was a large frame so the grip was larger than my CZ Shadow Custom.
  11. Bull barrel doesn't have a bushing (thick heavy barrel) more weight out front Bushing has a thinner barrel and bushing. Not as heavy
  12. I would get a STI Edge, after messing with the M&P trust me you will wish you just bought a STI to start off with. Or if you have the extra money you can get a custom built for a few hundred more than a tuned edge.
  13. Not to hi jack but which is better the Enos Slide Glide or Frog Lube paste? I have been using SG for a few years now and like it but never tried the Frog Lube.
  14. Is anyone carrying a STI V.I.P type gun (double stack)? I wonder if it would be to wide or uncomfortable to carry or print badly.
  15. I will sure look at STI as a carry option for sure. Iam just making sure Iam buying a gun that will work when I need it to. I served two deployments in Iraq so weapon reliability is very important to me.
  16. I have one Tuned by Caylor Customs and like it alot. Do not regret it at all great gun!
  17. Is 12lb's the lowest you all would go with major power ammo? I will probley get a Wolff 12, variable 12, another ISMI 12.5 and Sprinco 12. It seems like a 12lb is the lowest most go. Iam getting back into the 2011 platform after a run with Glocks and CZ.
  18. Iam needing a new recoil spring for my Edge .40 and currently have a ISMI 12.5 in there now but looking at different markers like Wolff and Sprinco. I will be ordering different springs for it just to find which one i like but what is everyone's experience with these three springs? Also I see Wolff sells a variable spring and a conventional so if I buy a 12lb conventional do I also buy a 12lb variable? I never tried a variable spring so I want to buy one to try it out.
  19. I have a tool less guide rod and 12.5lb recoil spring and love it. If you think you want or need a trigger job do it by all means. Also if your having that many misfires with your Glock something is wrong with the guns aftermarket parts that's not working with your ammo or factory gun not liking your ammo. My G34 hasn't had any misfires and if it had that many I would be finding the issue.
  20. I would pick the 34 if the gun store had them both. There isn't a huge difference but if it was me I would wait and find a 34. Hell i bought two lol.
  21. They were factory guns never said they were match guns or they did there own gunsmithing. Also factory ammo but it sounds like you know them also? Did not say everyone didn't run but far more than Glocks ect. I only had one 1911 and now a 2011 and my 1911 ran good should of never sold it but wanted a competition gun (2011). And my STI Edge had to go back to STI it just would not run but after I got It back it was better but then had Caylor Customs do a tune on it.
  22. Also anyone have any experience with the STI carry guns? It seems STI has been hit or miss with there reliability and quailty lately. STI is only a few hours from the house if I had a issue but should I choose STI over a Dan Wesson ect ?
  23. I was planning on a 3.5-4 inch barrel officers size 1911 possibly. I don't care for the small Glocks because of not having much grip to hold on to.
  24. I think people over think myself included a competition gun or gun in general. If it is reliable and hits what your aiming at its good enough for competition. If someone hands me a unknown gun and its comfortable, reliable and hits the target its good to go in my book. Do you need a sexy gun no do we want them yes.
