Ricky316
Just had my M&P pro 40 5 inch slide lightened so I figured I would post some pics. The slide cuts really helped with felt recoil and slide speed. I'm not sure how much weight was took out but it runs great.

Fireant
Glad you like it. Someone showed me a gun and asked if I could do that. I said sure, but wanted to change it a little and I did. This took about an ounce and a half out of the slide.

rack&roll
It looks like a bald slide to me, is it?
Fireant
Yes, it had the black removed. That is some tuff stuff now.
msg73
Did you just mill the 4 cuts on each side? Anything off the top or the sides?
Matt1911
Looks like more was taken from the sides. Look at the left side of the slide and you can see a seperate cut going from about the chamber on forward.
msg73
That's what I thought as well. Also, I don't see the S&W roll mark which would mean it would milled out.
Ricky316
Yes the name was milled out of the slide and the finish is just the stainless bare with a little polishing.
Fireant
I didn't take anything off the top, but I have one I'm working on right now that I am doing some serrations on the flat top.

msg73
Looks nice. I was really thinking about doing something similar but just found out that the 5" 40 Pro is now on the USPSA Production approved list...may have to hold off and see if I want to use mine for prod as well.
