I want to put a C-more on my remington 870, it has a side saddle on it and it may be in the way of other mounting hardware to mount the C-mopre. Can anyove give me some tips on how to do it or a product that they are aware of that I cound mount on it. Thanks.....

Not to change the subject too much but have you shot a shotgun with a C-More? The ones I've shot prevented me from getting a good mount because the sight was too high.

I much prefer the J-Point.

That being said, a lot of three gunners who are better than me are using the C-More.

Good luck.

HECK....drill and tap the receiver and put a one piece weaver mount on it......the add beneift to this.....if you do it just right. You can actually use one of the screws to lock the barrel to the receiver rather than having it hold the weaver base on. In other words....you'll be tapping 4 holes int he receiver. 3 for holding the mount (C'more is so light, thats all you need) and the 4th one (forworad most) for lockingthe barrel up.

Squeeze a little more accuracy out of it maybe.

When I shot a dot, I used the Damar mount previously recommended. This is a very solid mount. There is a small interference with a plastic side saddle, one of the aluminum legs coming toward the top of the receiver needs to be shortened. I added a piece of Velcro to replace the security that was lost. This does require a higher head position. I tried "Wrapid Comb" with lots of their supplied shims under it and it worked.

The problem with mounting optics on shotguns is the cheek weld is often too low to get the appropriate sight picture. I had this problem when I tried to mount an OKO sight on my 870 3 years ago. I eventually developed an AR15 stock adapter for the 870 that mirrors the dimensions of an AR15 identically including rail height, so you can mount an optic and use it effectively, as well as have the familiar feel of the same stock and grip you use on your rifle.

Its not for everyone, but if you want to use optics on your 870 I think its the best way to go.

Just my $0.02, your mileage may vary.
