I had to have one...

So I'm selling my 930 spx and bought this 10days ago... Being in Komifornia ... you have to wait 10days before getting your gun out of DROS.

But as soon as I got it ... I changed out parts already ...

I swapped over my Choate Pistol Grip ( I cant wait for the Mesa Unit), the 3XL End Cap from Nordic Components, Nordic Pineapple Charging Handle, and S&J Followere... Enough of the chit chat heres the gun porn ...

with the 3xl end cap ... you could get 10rds of 2 3/4 in the tube

here's a question why don't people run pistol grip stocks more than the standard stock??? I'm more comfortable using the pistol grip that the standard stock. I think I can handle the recoil and have better control from target to target...

Good looking gun.

As for the pistol grip question, how do you get to the safety on your gun? It looks awkward to me. I think most people who grew up hunting with traditional shotguns use straight stocks because that is what feels natural to them.

Exactly the main reason why people don't run a pistiol grip on a mossberg, you can't get to safety. Wont be fun when you are dumping your gun in a hurry

I guess unlike you guys I never started with a standard rifle stock. My first Shotgun had a pistol grip and a pump ... Winchester 1300 Home Defender.

But I shot my Mossberg SPX with the pistol grip a lot and prefer the pistol grip. I don't mind the safety issue. I actually don't find it an issue especially since shotgun stages are usually low ready. I just need that big ETA safety so I can slap it on and off...

Just my opinoin... The pistol grip is more controllable when doing weak hand reload. When the gun is upside down and doing a 2 or 4 shell top feed.

But; I found a issue today with my JM Pro magazine tube. While doing a deep clean and oiling.

The inlet or lip to the stainless tube ( where the main tube and Nordic extended tube met) was ever so slightly bend. Which caused my follower to hung up right where the nordic extended tube and main tube meet.

So to fix it I took out my gunsmith brass hammer and tapped it. Till it was sort of out of the way. But the follower was still getting hung up. So I got my dremel with a sanding bit and polished the lip free and clear. Now she manually cycles clean and smooth with 10rds in the tube.

Next upgrade is going to be a TruLock extended Improved Cylinder Choke. To protect my extended end cap.

Most of the mods are "done", but it benefits from a few extra tweaks especially around the loading port area, lifter, etc.

I agree I think it could use the loading port to be opened up more and maybe weld the lifter. So your thumb doesn't get caught.

Does the JM still need work like say the slp or m2 as far as lifter mods and opening the loading port to prevent thumb injuries?

butter, no bite

Your Shotgun was exactly who I was thinking about ... When I compared it to my stock JM Pro ... Thats exactly what I would like to do to mine

finally ran some rounds thru the JM Pro 24" and she was shooting way high. I had to aim way low to hit center. At 25yrds I have to hold below the 4 Popper to hit it right on. With the 50-60yrds slug target I had to hold @ the base of the target to hit center.

I'm almost there about doing some redneck machining and bending the barrel.

The way that sounds, it's shooting high, not low.

What I meant type was aim low to hi center... doing all this from my touch screen phone doesn't usually come out right.

Only thing left to do is order another TruLock Choke ... I want a MOD choke ... I need to have the lifter welded and have the load port opened up alittle bit more...
