Yeah ... tnek, the IDPA Tactical Guru ... took all of us to school on one stage. He placed second in the unofficial combined results in the stage and smoked everyone in Limited 10, Open, Production, and Revolver by a substantial margin. He made a good plan, then executed it flawlessly with perfect score and one of the fastest times.

He also shot a very good match overall. Not bad for a guy who just recently started USPSA shooting! I'm glad I lured him to the dark side!

  • 2 weeks later...

Since it's the fifth weekend, there isn't any shooting scheduled.

Boller has asked members and shooters to come to the range as early as possible on Saturday for a maintenance and cleanup work detail. Here is the text of his message:

Hi shooters,

We have been using the club pretty hard lately and need to do some general maintenance and clean up at the range. I propose a work detail this Saturday at 9am or earlier for those who get up with the chickens, and get some of these things done. A partial list is below.

Cut Grass

Clean up and burn trash

Spray weeds on bays

Organize lumber and build rack for lumber storage

Clean out attic

Install deadbolt lock on office door

Build more target stands

Build more wall sections

Clean out and organize garage

We also need to think about cutting up the rest of the wood on the east side of the property.

Bring what you have to do the work and don't assume we will have any tools or whatever to accomplish our tasks. Can I get a list of volunteers who will show up?

Thanks,

-Steve

I got lucky, it didnt hold up thru the match last saturday though but I still had a great time. I hate to say it but I think Im having more fun shooting IPSC than IDPA this year. Introduce yourself on the 8th so I can place a face with the name!

Kent, you did very well at the State Match on Saturday, so don't criticize yourself!

3QuarterTime was one of the ROs in our squad at that club match. He's the one who looks like Viggo Mortensen.

I was thinking 3/4T as Sammy Hagar. On a tequila bender. B) Just kidding, 3Q has turned into a real good RO.

I'll say thanks for the guys who designed and set up the stages for the July 11th local ChIPS match.

I am/was trying the concept of having the shooters design there own match.

Mike T had two stages, skeeter had a nice field course, JSTC handled the classifier, JB had two stages.

With a little better planning and communications I think we could build some nice matches there. I feel there is a lot of enthusiasm for this format.

There seemed to be an abundance of helpers for set up Sunday morning.

What I would like to see from the stage designers is their stage for the next match at this months match. If you want to set up on Saturday that's fine too.

Thanks for the support,

Tom Bergman

Right, I realized from the pix of the silverado stage. 3Q I think I told you I had a set of grips you can have if you want. Ill try to bring them to the next match on the 8th. Joe Im not disapointed considering that there were some VERY good shooters there. Its just in hindsight (as always) I could have had a better gameplan on a couple stages!
