kellymc
I lost my hand tightened flash hider this weekend and I was wonder what some B.E. members would replace it with. I shoot prone only with this rifle and quick follow up shots are desired. I have no experience with the pro's and con's of 308 breaks. gng4life
Have you looked at the JP Tank comps? I have not tried them in .308 but I'm getting one installed on mine right now. I heard they were excellent for recoil reduction and muzzle rise.
rq375
the problem is that the FAL metric is 9/16-24 left hand, most .308 brakes are 5/8-24 right hand. PWS makes one:PWS FAL brake

Chuck Anderson
JP Rifles makes a bigger version of the Cooley brake that is right at the limit size wise. Other wise, I'm fairly certain SureFire makes the MB762 in a FAL thread pitch. Just might take a bit to receive one.

Since he said he is shooting prone mostly, I am sure he is not running it for 3G. If he is, I want to know where to sign up

caspian guy
If it turns out you have the metric threads talk to ed vandenberg at vandenberg custom, he makes a nice fal break.

Bear1142
Yeah, the thread pitch is gonna limit your choices.
kellymc
Yeah, the thread pitch is gonna limit your choices. Yes it's looking more limited all the time. Im thinking the barrel was threaded for a 9/16-32 Dlask. At least they are still listed in Brownells
billdncn
I replaced the STG58 style flash hider on my DSA with a Entreprise Zero Climb brake and couldn't be happier. A little less weight, better performance and I think cleaner looking
65goat
You could also try a Smith Enterprise Vortex flash eliminator. They work really well and look awesome on the rifle.
Effectus Magis Per Minor
I am running a Primary Weapons Systems "flash suppressing compensator" on my HK91 and am really happy with it. It seems to do both well. I see on their site that they have a FAL model also http://primaryweapons.com/store/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=
benellibuilder
The "Rolling Thunder" comp from Triangle Shooting Sports works very well for muzzle rise and right hand torque. It can be tuned to ur shooting style.
