Jaxshooter
I use 13 coil springs in all of my mags with extended base pads. It does not reduce the capacity of my mags. I have the old style SV tubes for my Limited gun and they all hold 21 rounds using Dawson SNL base pads and they fit the gauge.
twodownzero
I have two mags with Bolen followers and the 11 coil springs with Dawson basepads. They hold 21 rounds and will reload 20 comfortably. My mags with STI springs/followers hold 19 reloadable. One will take 20 rounds, but it is not reloadable that way. Sarge
I asked Mike at Shooter's Connection this same question for my new mags. He told me 11's in my 140's and 13's in my 170. That seems to be the "typical" setup.
EEH
Thats what I've been running, but after talking to a couple people at the range, they say the 13 gives better preformance if you run with extended pads,my mags hold 20,But if it aint broke don't fix it right!!! HI5-O
I thought I saw, maybe on Grams website, to use the 11 coil for mags up to 145mm and the 13 coil for mags more than 145mm. In the set-up you mention, I use the 13 coil springs but we can only load to 10 rounds here anyway When getting ready for a major match, these mags hold 20-21 easy
