Need to block my slide on my AK at 3-gun

Recenty I used my AK-47 at a 3-gun match (I know....get an AR). The only problem is that when I finished the course of fire I couldnt lock the slide back since an AK doesnt do that.

The RO let me bag and told me that there are slide blocking devices that are sold that would suffice but he did not know what they were really called and who sold them. Any help out there?

I made one out of an orange color 1911 plastic bushing wrench (Brownells brand) just because I have one too many laying around the bench, any hard plastic sticks would do, just cut the slot large enough to wedge it in the chamber end of the barrel.

Or cheaper yet...just pick up an empty 12 ga shotgun hull and stick it in the chamber

use a empty casing stuck in from of the bolt sideways.........if the RO wants it a yellow color......paint it......

hold the bolt to the rear and pull the trigger back, usually that will lock the action open on most AK's.

Cheap chamber flag-- a 6" section of weed-eater line with a swatch of orange tape applied to one end.
