shepheard
I've purchased a couple boxes of these in target grade and cowboy grade for use in my Dan Wesson PM7. Just curious as to what you guy's are using with these. I have WST, HP-38, Bullseye, Unique, clays, uni clays. Thanks for any direction guy's
docatru
I use the Penn target grade 200 gr. LSWC with 3.7 to 4.0 gr. of Clays in 5" 1911's (Springfield steel frame and Kimber alloy frame) and a FNP-45. The 3.7 is soft shooting and accurate in the 1911's. The FNP-45 needs a minimum of 3.9 gr. of Clays to cycle reliably. Good bullet, good powder. DOC
59Bassman
I've used Clays and Titegroup. I prefer the recoil impulse of TG, but Clays smokes a whole lot less. I will probably stick with Clays, as I have a metric ton (well, not really) of it for shotgun reloading.
twodownzero
Clays is my go-to in .45ACP, although I may switch to Solo 1000 because I use that for 9/40.
Agent #1911
I have used those powders that you mentioned. WST is my favorite for cast bullets. Measures well with my dillon and the least amount of smoke. Titegroup for jacketed bullets.
jcc7x7
5.8 231 or ho38 same powder! Will give 180 PF give or take 4.8 WSP gives about 173 PF Use Penn bullets a bunch like the bullets and Bob seems like a straight shooter
GregJ
W231 seemed a little too hot for me with cast bullets, always had a lot of leading. I've been using 4.8gr of WST with very little leading. I use the same load for Precision and Bayou 200gr SWC.
