650 strong mount

i bought a 650 the other day and its still in the box.

the directions mention if you dont use the strong mount, the bench top over hang should be 3/4"

my question is how far from the front edge of the bench should the strong mount be ?

Mine is about 1" from the edge.

The edge of my bench is 2x4's and plywood on top. I ended up putting the mount within one inch or so of the edge so I could use lag bolts to secure it into the 2x4 in the front and bolts/nuts/washers in the rear.

The edge of the bench to the edge of the strong mount is 1 inch on mine.

The best way to make sure its right is to bolt the machine to the mount, put it on the bench and pull the handle down all the way. That said mine is 1" from the edge

i still need to build the bench and wanted to get some ideas for the front edge design

an inch back from the front edge seems to be the way to go
