mgood Posted November 21, 2010 Share Posted November 21, 2010 I'm surprised the bison got away from it. I once saw a video of a bear running down a deer. They're a lot faster than they look. If anyone ever tells you that you can get away from a bear in the mountains by running down hill (their logic is that the bear's front legs are shorter and it'll stumble when running down hill ) or uphill or whatever nonsense, they're full of it. You have about as good a chance outrunning a horse. (So be sure you hike with slower friends, lol.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
