DWFAN
very interesting.. Like the fact its not a .380. If it runs, and doesnt need a recall within the first 6months of market, sounds like a good one. Whats price? (cant get to sig's website to see the msrp.) mrwhite1
No price listed yet. I'd like to see the extended magazine for it also
Duke Nukem
It looks good but I hope its not just a shrunk down P250. Edited October 27, 2010 by Duke Nukem
doc540
Shot the baby Sig 380 for the first time last month and the trigger/action was challenging. Wonder if this one will feel similar?
JAFO
From what I've read, this one is DAO, not SAO like the P380. I haven't heard whether it's more like a DAK or a P250, though.
fastarget
any idea what the prices are going to be on these, you can pick up gently used pm9s for reasonable... JAFO
Just saw the MSRP: P290 Nitron, 9mm, SIGLITE NS, 6-rd. mag. $530.00 P290 Two-Tone, 9mm, SIGLITE NS, 6-rd. mag. $550.00 I'd like to think actual prices would be below $400.
fastarget
wow, substantially less than what I would have thought................I almost bought a pm9 last week, I would rather have the sig. Any idea on availability?

AEuropa
This is perfect, I will be in the market for a "pocket" gun in a few months. Hopefully, that will give it a chance to get out on the market and word to come back about its reliability and handling. - Alex

It seems these MSRPs, which I think were originally up on Tactical-Life.com, were a bit under what Sig has decided this pistol is worth. They're listing MSRP around $700-$750, which I think is a bit ridiculous. Top Gun Supply is listing it at $663. I don't get pricing it $300 over a subcompact P250. fastarget
wow that is a far cry from a purchase price in the 480-490 range, it will have lots of competition from the just released kimber solo......sig needs to be competitive price wise...... http://www.kimberamerica.com/solo Edited January 22, 2011 by fastarget

fastarget
I thought it was just announced at the shot show, not sure too many solos are out yet. They are available if you look around. Most googled info, seems positive so far on the solo . Even less info available about the p290..... I will wait until they are both tested side by side. mjl
Obviously was not able to shoot them, but handling them at the SHOT Show, the Solo is hands down much better as far as trigger/handling/balance/etc. Now whether both are reliable.....?
