Welding a Big Stick

Bob, I am not sure of many that do, but some do I think for the CZ and Tanfoglio guns. I have done them in the past and they turned out well, sadly in Canada we only have 10 rounds so no more need :angry2: With TIG you could almost fuse it with the heat really low (especially with a foot control)and the fit was perfect. I used 1/16" SS filler rod as it melts easier than carbon, but I am sure you are well aware of that

I used to do them for the EAA all the time but it can be a 'pita'. I see a potential market for the XD's and the small frame EAA's again but was hoping to find someone to do them for me. Bill Salhberg does them for the big frame EAA type guns but I haven't been able to find anyone doing the small frames.

I would be interesteed in some 140 mm tubes small frame XD-if that counts for "potential market"

Jason,

Checkout the Canyon Creek 140mm base pads for the XD, 23 rounds of 9mm and 16 rounds of 40.
