  1. Followed the OpenDNS advice of gino_aki and Thanks !! oh yeah...it zooms now
  2. Rob, I truly do appreciate all the effort you have put into this. This is what nslookup gave me. C:\DOCUME~1\THOMAS~1>nslookup uspsa.org Server: dns2.huntel.net Address: 209.74.232.2 *** dns2.huntel.net can't find uspsa.org: Server failed C:\DOCUME~1\THOMAS~1>nslookup uspsa.com Server: dns2.huntel.net Address: 209.74.232.2 *** dns2.huntel.net can't find uspsa.com: Server failed It appears to be a DNS problem on my end. I will contact my ISP tomorrow (after I try USPSA again) to find out if they are having a DNS problem and if not, how to hardcode an address. Thanks! I was just hoping to get an update on the nationals squading but it will certainly wait until tomorrow.
  3. Great Success ! Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server If you can see this page, then the people who manage this server have installed cPanel and WebHost Manager (WHM) which use the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content. ATTENTION! If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved. (Try sending an email to <webmaster@domain>.) Although this site is running cPanel, WebHost Manager, and Apache software it almost certainly has no other connection to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group. Please do not send mail about this site or its contents to cPanel Inc. or the Apache Group. C:\DOCUME~1\THOMAS~1>ping www.uspsa.com Ping request could not find host www.uspsa.com. Please check the name and try again. C:\DOCUME~1\THOMAS~1>ping www.uspsa.org Ping request could not find host www.uspsa.org. Please check the name and try again. Is it just me??
  4. I got into everything this morning. Now I cannot get into anything! Cleared temp internet files along with the USPSA cookie...??? Don't know what to do except try back later.
  5. Thanks!! As of Now, I can get into everything. The last item to get in was Nationals, but it all works Now.
  6. I could not get anything last night and now I get the main page but cannot login to members area or get to nationals or store as it comes up with a "Forbidden" message.
  7. 138-140PF using 3.5 of Titegroup, Win SPP with a 180gn FP seated to 1.12 using an EGW undersizing die fired out of an XD Tactical
  8. Well, they gladly honored the sale price! That's hard to beat. I guess I will continue to send them more $$$ in the future .
  9. Thanks for the suggestion. I will give them a call this morning.
  10. That's because I ordered mine on Thursday Well, if it is as good as I have heard, maybe I need a second one Thanks for posting the sale info.
  11. I certainly understand your logic. Do you know anywhere to buy just the follower for $5? All I can find is to buy the "Kit" for $16.50 (okay, that is better than $50). I just have a hard time understanding why it is so difficult to put out a product that is consistent. Let's face it, a mag tube for $50 should be able to hit repeatable specs and still return a respectable profit margin to the manufacturer. I may try to bevel the lower portion of the follower so it "slides" past the mag notch easier, but that is probably as far as I will "whittle" on it unless I find a place to get just replacement followers. Thanks!!
  12. To reply to all who have offered assistance....sfinney....yes, I reread the insert and totally agree with your assessment that it should work. HSMITH....yes, I can press it over (using a tool) and load more rounds and I am sure they will feed with no problem. I guess it amazes me that they sell these tubes for a good price, but they are "inconsistent", which I do believe they are. AZ38Super....again, I have not taken any material off the follower, but I am hesitant to bend the tube. No problem with ruining my stage time, I can do that without a mag malfunction. I will talk to some of the open shooters where I do my shooting and see if they can recommend advice on the mag tube. Thanks to all of you for the assistance!!
  13. Well, I know I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so I went and took a look. If I turn it 180, it will not even go to the top of the mag tube. I am pretty sure it is correct. There is a tab on the follower that hangs up right on the tube cutout on the left. Thanks for the suggestion, but it appears I have it together correctly. There is a note on the kit, that says "Will work with .38, .40....etc...(SV mag tubes only). I wonder if there is a different kit for STI mags.
  14. I will preface this question by telling you that I am new to the STI/SV arena. I recently purchased my first open gun (the picture on the left is what it looks like after Mr. Tripp made it beautiful ) and purchased brand new STI 140mm magazine tubes for 9mm/38 super and Grams follower kits (FKS-11) from Shooters Supply. I am using Dawson Precision bases. I put the parts together and I can load one round in the magazine . The follower then hangs on the cut out on the left side of the mag. I assume, it is there to hold the slide open when the mag is empty. Now, I have heard of Magazine tuning, but shouldn't the parts go together and at least function without tuning or cutting . I have not cut or bent anything yet. Am I doing something wrong, did I get the wrong parts or do magazines HAVE to be "tuned" to function?
  15. Nice piece SingleStack! Is that your Mighty Tighty Whitey
  16. Sent in my production class app the other day. This will be my first sectional and I am looking forward to it. No, not winning.....just shooting!! This should be alot of fun especially the stage sponsored by Club Orleans!
  17. Both KSmoker and KS-shooter came from Shooters Connection (Chuck). Mine has already shipped and should be here by Thursday (great service). I assume that KSmoker is not far behind. Believe me, we will post on our experience with these timers. It is actually not supposed to rain this weekend in NE Kansas and perhaps we will shoot.....Absolutely!
  18. To all that provide all the input on their timer experiences, I thank you. Since I am Ksmoker's Dad I felt that a thank you was in order for providing both of us with your input. We were both shopping. I decided on the 7000, with a belt clip, skin and a retractable lanyard. He just told me that he is going with a 7000 also. One of my reasons is that these people are great supporters of the sport and while I am still fairly new to it, I appreciate all that have helped to spread the sport. I love playing and improving. I have no plans to be a major player, but I do want to keep getting better and a timer is sorely needed. Thanks again to all and to Brian for hosting this great site.
  19. Barry, thanks for the input. That makes me feel better because that is very close to the change I experienced. Well, Open17, it looks like my son (KSmoker) answered your response for me while I was away. He is the TG shooter and I will stay with the Clay's loads. Thanks for the input.
  20. I've seen a difference of 5 pf between Fed Mag and regular Fed primers using all the same stuff (same charge of Titegroup, Starline brs, Zero 125 JHP, 38 spcl) I've seen a difference of 8-10 pf from new/once fired to 10+ loadings of Starline brass. And yes, I have seen a difference between primers. When you change a component always re-check your "stuff" (I learned the hard way ) Dave, thanks for the "you are not the first one to do that" comment. I just thought a primer was a primer. I am learning. Hopefully, without any true pain......
  21. [i been using the straight rate sprinco 16 or 18 wolf. I will got back and check my load date I never tried clays tite group is so cheap and I use in both 40 and 45 I tried universal but it won't burn in minor loads leaves tons flakes Clays shoots "soft". It is a push. I believe the Magnum primer must help with the burning of the powder. I do not have flakes left. I got TG because my son wanted a snappier minor load. Clays is also cheap when used with Magnum primers I was only using 2.9 and the cost was comparable to TG. Maybe 10% more because of the 14oz bottle. By the way, Nice video link.
  22. I thought the stock spring on the Tactical was 22#. I guess I need to check that. With TG I used 3.5TG to get the 140-150PF (averaged exactly 145) again Magnum primer. Scale problem? I still like the slower/softer feel of the Clay's although I know I cannot use it to make any Major loads. The brass does better than dribble out, but it does not go far. I use a Wolff progressive 15# spring. 14# works, but can still come out of battery a little too easily.
  23. Does this sound crazy to anyone else but me. I accidently went from Magnum Pistol Primers to regular pistol primers (all Winchester) and my 40 s&w loads changed from making minor to missing by 50 fps!! I am new to the USPSA scene and the reloading arena. I thought I had found a nice 40 load. 2.9 Clays, 180 Berry's RS, seated at 1.12...worked great-130PF. Then I ran out of the primers that came with my "used loader deal" and purchased Winchester primers. These were brass color instead of silver. Loaded around 100 rounds and since I live in the country, went out the back door and chrono'd the loads. My XD Tactical would not cycle the rounds even with the 15 pound spring that I installed, Failure to eject, Failure to feed...I had no idea that a primer could make this difference. Anyone else ever experience this much change or should I question my press or powder scale?
