  1. 3MOA RFX-35 next to 5MOA SRO. Both on max brightness with slight overcast.
  2. The one that replaced the one with the lens coating issue was direct milled on a Stock 2 slide. After about 600rds that one's lens came loose. It was also warrantied by Viridian with a replacement sent within a week of receiving the broken one. This replacement looks to be a newer version. The housing is different, and it seems to be potentially brighter than the older ones I had. I'll have to see how it is when it's a bright day. I have it living on a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 now.

    Czechmate or parrot?

Yes I'd just get a regular czechmate. The parrot has a different hammer and trigger shoe, but the rest is just color aside from what's included in addition to the gun.

    Czechmate or parrot?

If seriously competing you will likely replace most if not all of the colorful parrot parts, so find whichever has the better price and comes with the spare barrel/slide pins.
  5. Did some staring at the sun yesterday. They don't seem to be nearly as affected by the sun reflecting off the emitter. If you are looking very close to the sun you can see the emitter reflecting, but it's not the same color or size as the real dot so it's not really distracting. These dots are made by the same Chinese OEM and rebranded by a bunch of companies: Viridian, Bul, and Vector Optics, for example. I have a 3 MOA red from Vector Optics, and the 3 MOA green from Viridian both slide ride on Tanfo Stock 2's. The red one might be considered too dim in bright sunlight. About the same as I remember my 3 MOA RTS-2. The green one seems like it should be bright enough. Haven't seen it against white steel with sand behind it.
  6. Can you elaborate on the modification? Is it just opening up the mag catch slots? Thanks
  7. Ive found the brightness of the dot to sometimes flicker a little, but that might be from having it on a bare stainless slide. Nevermind, was that certain spots of the lens caused the dot to be dimmer. Probably just a dirty lens/emitter. Still need to test durability slide mounted on the Stock 2 over the off season. For the price it should at least make for a decent enough backup dot. Edit2: Viridian is RMA-ing the lens issue, so Im getting a replacement.
  8. Are there also recoil bosses, or is it just supposed to be supported front/back? If there's bosses I wouldn't worry.
  9. Yep, CZ Shadow 2 Palm Swell GridLOK Aggressive Brass -Cut for Magwell? Short: TS 2 | Tactical Sport Orange | Czechmate (factory CZ Magwell) -Weight: 9 oz Stained with Birchwood Casey Brass Black
  10. This was my first thought. I haven't had any feed issues since tuning my mags. POI shift seems like a frame mount/optic issue.
  11. Patriot Defense has CZ palm swells that look pretty thick, but they taper pretty narrow at the top. Might want to email them for specs.
  12. You probably mean Birchwood Casey Brass Black. I've used it on two sets of brass grips. It ends up adding an "old penny" look to them. I applied it to the Czechmate grips in February.
  13. Did he witness mark the mount screws?
  14. Thanks Nick, Would you be able to provide the dimensional measurements for the CZUB and LOK magwells? Weights from your video are: CZUB Brass Magwell Weight: 3.35oz LOKgrips Brass Magwell Weight: 4.52oz
  15. Echoing this experience with RTS-2 v5's on Stock 2's for CO. Had one crack the lens when sighting in, another get a chip in the glass during a classifier, and another with a loose lens. Cmore warrantied them all without issue, but you have to wait to get it or a replacement back (obviously). I also found the 3MOA dot to be too dim for a bright sandy range. 6MOA was bright enough. I've switched my competition dots to 2.5MOA SRO's.
  16. For my Czechmate I have: Optic Slide stop pins All springs Extractor Firing pin
  17. Please post pics and dimensions.
  18. It may have been a direct reason for me starting this post.
  19. LOK makes one specifically for the TS/Czechmate.
  20. PRanta corrects brisix in that same thread. The TS does not have a "disconnector" (CZ manual).
  21. Yeah realized when I saw their IG, but great if you can snag pics/dimensions. For internal dimensions I just did the rough size of the mouth, and not where it meets the frame. Did your dremel work widen the mouth? If not, your measurements should be good enough.
  22. Goal is just to have a repository of the different magwells out there and their physical characteristics. People can do with that information what they will. Can you please provide the measurements for the fitted Cheely magwell?
  23. I was recently shopping around for a bigger magwell for my Czechmate, and found it somewhat difficult to find comparable dimensions between the different options other than "looks bigger". I'm hoping to start a thread where this information can be consolidated. I can provide approximate dimensions/weight for the stock and Sebo IPSC Open magwells. Czechmate/TSO Stock Magwell (CZ) Material - Aluminum Weight - 0.95oz Outer dimensions (~2.5"Lx1.66"W) Inner dimensions (~2"Lx1.5"W) Additional depth below frame (~0.24") Sebo Weapons IPSC Open Material - Aluminum Weight - 1.45oz Outer dimensions (~2.9"Lx1.9"W) Inner dimensions (~2.5"Lx1.8"W) Additional depth below frame (~0.3")
