  1. Hmmm. There are probably exceptions that prove the rule. But, can't say that there are many wallflowers in CO. Can only think of one that would even qualify as modest and he's here somewhere.
  2. Range day today. Primary focus was on transitions. But, got plenty of draws in too. Under 1.2 for medium distances and then started at .7's for long transitions across a big berm. Very quicky changed the stance and used the eyes to lead and the times went right to the .5's. Had some fun at the end. Bill Drills :-)
  3. A huge number of hunters pass through Denver. Don't stop unless you have to. Just to clarify, I mean Denver, the city and county, not any surrounding towns.
  4. I'd like them more if Hoofy would leave his at the clubhouse.
  5. Looks like his team mates were happy with the upgrade!
  6. In all my years of schooling, only had one teacher cause me to leave class on the first day and take another course. Thank God it wasn't the last semester! Only you know how important passing is vs getting an A. Either way, don't allow him to control your actions. You'll undoubtedly have many opportunities this semester to let him know what you really think of him.
  7. That list is not legally correct/complete. But, if you are in Denver and you have a gun, you may be arrested whether you will utlimately be convicted of a crime or not. In the past, Denver has made it clear that they don't believe in the traveling through laws either.
  8. Nope, won't join. Just don't do it often enough to warrant the cost. If there were local matches or when I'm old and can't move maybe it will offer more appeal than it does now.
  9. Dry fire focusing on grip, trigger press and reloads. Treadmill isn't quite as much fun with the convention as it was with the Olympics...so I'll watch football!
  10. If you have a gun in Denver you are subject to arrest. The law only comes into play at trial and they will have already taken your guns.

Good luck this weekend. Long match...and points win it.
  12. Ultimately you'll have to do both. But, it's harder to learn the speed and all the components that make that happen than it is to learn accuracy at a slow speed. Don't forget the fundamentals, but speed is where it's at.
  13. There you go. You found your current speed limit. Now bring the fundamentals up to that level by forcing the calling of every shot. By starting to call every shot again you'll see if you're too tense, milking the grip, etc. Once you figure out what needs to work better, then it'll be time to turn it up again.
  14. Glad to hear that there is still good news to look forward to.
  15. Thanks Roger. Knock 'em down at the State Match. Shoot your game.
  16. Probably nobody happier than the two of you! Thanks.
  17. Danger could be lurking long after you've left
  18. Match day again today. Don't know the results yet, but one thing's for sure. Much better! One mental mistake. Let myself shoot the first string of a four string stage "fast". Ended up needing two extra shots on a VA count stage. Next 3 strings were perhaps too slow, but I wasn't going to tank the rest of the stage. 4 reloads, all of them good! All of them were right at 1.25. Not going to win a stage for me, but compared to the other side I was pretty doggone happy. Best draws of the match were .85 and .87. Most of the 15 yard A zones were 1.25 (one at 1.04).
  19. The smell is added for safety
  20. Congrats. Now make them happy they selected you.
  21. One more for the good guys.
