  1. If I recall correctly, the PASA contract calls for only one nationals per year to be held in Barry. Even though the pistol nationals were one match last year, the 3 Gun nationals were held in a different location. I guess the two years the handgun nationals were held in Bend must have been another of those multi-year sweetheart deals, eh? PASA received no more remuneration than any other location where nationals have been held. Arnie
  2. Hhhhmmm, that is odd, Rob. I asked my Area Director about the minutes and he replied that he had already voted on the minutes. Arnie
  3. It would be nice if it was that easy! Unfortunately, if you have 700 shooters, competing over five days, that means 140 shooters per day. I don't believe there is enough time to run 140 shooters per day. Plus, that would not allow one division per day. Limited and Open would need two days each which would mean only one day for Lim10, Rev and Prod. Surely there would be more than 120 shooters who would want to shoot Lim10/Rev/Prod. I guess there is never an easy answer. Arnie
  4. That would be one idea, but then why would clubs pay mission count which enables them to get slots to Nationals? Without the mission count money, USPSA would go broke. Arnie
  5. One other disadvantage is the number of shooters per day. It is only physically possible to run about 120 shooters in a day. So, if you have one division per day, that means that only 120 shooters will be competing in each division. Slots to the nationals would be in very high demand. Arnie
  6. The 2005 Area 3 Championship will be held July 1-3, 2005 at the Mill Creek Gun Club in Lenexa, KS. The Match Director will be Scott Hattrup. Scott can be reached at hotrodss@aol.com Hope to see all of you at the match! Arnie
  7. Yes, you do get to see the financial reports from Nationals. Dave Thomas is not yet able to produce the report, however, as there are still bills coming in from the match. I am cautiously optimistic that Nationals will show a small profit this year. Arnie
  8. Hey Sterling, A couple of things..... 1. How would stats know who the BE people were? 2. Is there a place to even enter this info in EZWinScore? 3. You tell stats they have to do this extra little chore! Arnie
  9. The event is scheduled for Friday, after shooting is over. The location is near PASA Manor. That is the white house just down from S&W Hall. You will be able to find it without any problems. Arnie
  10. I would read "no extended slide stops" to mean that the slide stop cannot be extended in length or width. I would say that your slide stop is not legal. Arnie
  11. One question, Whizz. As for the start procedure, in the IPSC rule book under 8.1.1, I see nothing about Condition 1 (one of Vince's pet peeves) for the handgun. What would that be? Arnie
  12. Should the AWB sunset next week, the director of Area 3 will not be voting in favor of eliminating the 10 round restrictions in Limited 10 and Production. As a matter of fact, I doubt that any Area Director will be asking to remove the round restrictions in Limited 10 and Production. Arnie
  13. East Bumf***, MO, what are you talking about? Linn Creek is a burgeoning city of 280 people!!! And, I think they must have hidden the town diner, when Denise and I went downtown the other day we could not find the diner. Actually, we had trouble finding downtown. You mean the new phone we bought without a hand crank won't work in Linn Creek? Ruh Roh Rorge!!!! Arnie
  14. TriggerT, Greg Lent was the chrono guy at A3. I can't think of anyone who has more experience at setting up and running a chrono than Greg. Maybe your "high" results over other chronos were because of poor chrono conditions? Arnie
  15. So, I call Southern Bell a couple of weeks in advance to get the phone line hooked up in the new house in Linn Creek, MO. No problem, they say and set Friday, September 3 from noon to five pm. Great, Denise (dminor) will be staying at the new house in Linn Creek and even though we get there on Wednesday evening that will be only a couple of days before we can access the internet again. So....... 4:45 pm on Friday - no phone installer. I call the phone company and they check. "Still slated for this evening, sir, we work until dark". Okay, it is dark - no phone installer. Call the phone company - customer "service" is closed for the day. It is Labor Day weekend now - this doesn't look good. Saturday morning call the phone company at 8:00am - not open. At least a message says they open on Saturday at 9:00am. Call back at 9:00am - customer "service" guy tells me the installer had problems and he has to get a part for the "neighborhood service box". It will take at least a week before they can install the phone now. Everyone else in the neighborhood has a phone that works - the people who owned the house before us had a phone that worked. What is up with this? So, there sits Denise with no internet access. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Arnie
  16. You had the patience to get that far??!! Man, you must be bored. Arnie
  17. Great picture! If you notice, the picture shows PASA having clear sunny skies despite Frances. I hope Ivan stays to the East. As reneet said, the forecast right now is fantastic. Arnie
  18. Hi Everyone, Denise has asked me to post this for her - she is now in Linn Creek, MO at the new house, but unfortunately the Southern Bell phone installer decided not to show up on Friday to install the phone line. After checking with Southern Bell they now inform us that the phone cannot be installed until next Friday! Anyway, an anonymous donor from the Enos Forums has made a very generous offer to have the get together catered with snacks and beer!! So, let me know if you can make (the caterer sure would like a head count) and bring your forum badge and let's meet. Arnie
  19. Denise and I will be working on stage 3. See ya there. Arnie
  20. It's all your fault, Luca. You had to go and post that recipe, now I have to make a batch. Just to stay on topic, Denise and I are looking forward to meeting with all you Enosians. We will be working Stage 3, I believe. Arnie
  21. Big Huggy, The posted interpretations to which you are referring in this post, apply only to IPSC. John Amidon makes interpretations for USPSA and the BOD either approves or overrides his decision. His interpretations will be posted on the USPSA member's page. Arnie
  22. Hi Jim, Happy Birthday, man! I hope to see more of you when Denise and I are in Missouri full time. Arnie
  23. Aw, come on now, guys! An adventure? Hell, before it rained, I made the detour under the bridge in my Corvette, with no problems.
  24. BritinUSA, I am sure the new rules will be posted, but I am not sure in what software format. That would be best answered by Rob Boudrie, USPSA webmaster extrodinaire, or by Dave Thomas. Arnie
  25. Jim, Don't blame the post office, the books have not arrived in Seattle on the ship yet. Arnie
