  1. Yeah! Great pistols. The UR-F is sweet.
  2. I agree. I started with the Czechmate. It is a fine pistol. The only issue that I found, across all forums, was that the mags are not set up very well at the factory. They have a problem of having some rounds "nose dive" into the ramp instead of moving higher into the barrel. It happens VERY often, enough to force you to send your mags out to a gunsmith in Los Angeles, who specializes in his own mag springs and followers. He then tunes the feed lips on the mags to get them to be 100%. It's not a big deal, but you would think that CZ would do this before they leave the factory! I also had to mess with indexing the compensator, an issue that Bul does not have, as the compensator is part of the barrel. I saw the Bul Armory SAS ll UR model mentioned on a forum, when Bul was changing over to an enhanced model for the 2022 season. I liked what I saw, so I ordered one. It arrived 3 months later. I took both pistols to the practice range and compared. The Bul gave me tighter groups and felt more "hand fitted" than the CZ did. The fit and finish was MUCH better. The CZ costs $3,699 with the C-More optic. The Bul Armory costs $3,590 without an optic, $3,809 with their optic. For me the choice was obvious, and I sold my CZ. P.S. I do not know if it is true, but I was told that all Bul competition pistols are final fitted by one gunsmith.
  3. I was able to get some dental tools on line for under $5. The one with a scoop profile works well.
  4. Training with the open UR now. Not competing yet. love the look and capability of the gun. No issues to date.
  5. MBX has great service! I had an issue with one of my 170 MBX mags and called Robert (865) 657-5141. He was VERY anxious to solve the problem, which he did.
  6. I love my SAS ll UR. I also can't speak to the warranty, but any question or issue that I have had, has been answered within 12 hours!. I've never needed to inquire about warranty work as my pistol has performed perfectly. I say yes to Bul Armory, 100%. I had a Czechmate before I purchased the Bul, and the difference is night and day.
  7. I also tried the 90 mount, but went back to stock mounting plate after shooting it that way. Felt strange and does put a big rectangle on the left side of your field of vision. I really like the large window of the C-More.
  8. As mentioned above, they are now available. I use their mag in my Bul Armory SAS ll UR, 9mm. They are really well built and have never caused be any problems. I recommend. https://mbxextreme.com/index.php?page=Magazines_CZ
  9. It was suggested to me, by a forum member, to simply mail him my mags, with a note to replace the followers and springs with his own and tune the magazines. I included my name, email and phone number. He called me 2 days after he received the package, to ask for payment, as he was done. When they came back I was extremely pleased and never has a feeding issue again. P.S. Grams Engineering - 2435 Norse Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92627
  10. Great idea. Open practice does get things hot. My foam case has suffered the results. Thanks.
  11. Grams Engineering in CA will replace the springs and followers and tune the mags so that they run flawlessly. From a CM cost to $8K is a huge gap. You can expect great open pistols for that price, but a very long wait. If you want to spend $4K, check out the Bul Armory SAS ll UR range of open pistols. 2-4 months wait, but much faster than a custom open pistol. Love to see what you decided to buy. Please post.
  12. Get a Bul Armory SASll UR. About the same cost as a CZ CM.
  13. I agree. That is how I made my choice to sell the CZ.
  14. I had a Czechmate. Loved the gun, after I sent the mags to Grams Engineering to get them tuned. The stock mags nosedive without help. I recently purchased a Bul Armory SAS ll UR and prefer it. The grip is a bit wider and the grip safety took a bit to get used to. Overall I find the Bul to be a better pistol by all of the metrics. I added some MBX mags. The price is almost the same, but a Bul will take more time to get into your hands. Florida company office is great.
  15. The magwell that comes with the SAS ll UR pistols will fit any full size SAS model pistol. Available from any Bul dealer or Bul office in FL.
  16. Great review Stef. I love my pistol. I am not involved in competing with it, I just enjoy a well built, good looking range pistol.
  17. XJWALT666, It is a three port aluminum comp that I got from a forum member. The OEM is a steel four port. The aluminum comp allows me to shoot 115gr FMJ range ammo without changing the recoil spring.
  18. Change out the slideride for the CZ mount and see if the issue remains. OR - The Czechmate comes with a rear sight that replaces the racking bar, and the comp can be replaced with a front sight end piece. Use a rest and see if the iron sights provide tight groups, if yes, them check the side mount and C-More mounting screws. If no change, then you have a larger problem. I had a loose side frame mounting screw, that I forgot to tighten down properly, after a deep clean. It made my groups terrible. It only takes a very slight movement at the pistol to make you very far off on target. A small plate must be removed to gain access to the rear C-Mode mounting screw. VC-3 works very well. Do not use red locktite, as blue is preferred. If all is tight, it will be the C-More. Check the screws holding down the LED module in the sight before contacting C-More. The mounting system works as designed, so if you have a problem, it does not requite machining, IMHO. Good luck. It's a great gun and the C-More pairs well for tight shots as a range pistol.
  19. you are correct. The hole pattern is for Toni stuff only fits Toni optic mounts.
  20. Yow! Well I guess they will stay out of my pistol. Thanks
  21. Cool, thanks. Chunks of plastic floating around can't be good, I just was curious as to why they include a couple of them.
  22. Is the blue plastic recoil buffer included with the Bul Armory SAS ll UR needed for low power factor practice range ammo, or only hi power open ammo? Is it optional or recommended for general use?
