  1. I like Revolver Supply, the nickel plated moonclips. They are not as tight as the TK, but they are a lot cheaper. I have used them with GECO, WIN, FEDERAL and BLAZER brass. No problems.
  2. Their box. Am I blind or does it say .358??? Maybe I should count them. I probably don't even have 500. Maybe their Master Revolver shooters order boxes of 450 and that is what they ship but advertise 500.
  3. This happened today. I ordered .358 bullets as advertised on their website. I received a box that says .358. I start measuring them, they are all .357. I was polite when contacted them and gave them a chance to make it right. Look at their Emails. False advertising and his tone. I am never ordering from them again. I am not sure why they don't use the .358 worn out sizer. I asked them if I could get a shipping label to return the bullets. This was their reply:
  4. 2.5# DA? Is that for a SW929? If that is the case, please write down my user name, I will be one of the first to buy one.
  5. Sorry, I haven't been around. Has to be over the phone. I will give them a call and ask. Got busy with work and the days went by.
  6. No need for a label. I will never send anything to them and my cylinder is fine. I just wanted a replacement. They finally sent me the part number: 383900000 ... I only had to ask the same question 4 times.
  7. SW is pretty useless. They keep Emailing back saying the cylinder requires fitting by a gunsmith. All I asked them is if they sell the cylinder and how can I order one.
  8. That press is cursed. I use a 750 and still look inside every case. It isn't hard to do. I recently had a 45/70 BFR blow up. But mine was a squib.
  9. Looking for a replacement, cant find one online. Does anyone know where I can get one? I didn't try calling SW yet.
  10. I am waiting a couple of years until there are enough reviews and after market support, then I am probably buying a Super GP 100.
  11. A few guys at a match last weekend were complaining that Area 7 did not get cancelled. I asked them why dont they withdraw and let someone else take their place. LOL, they didn't like my question.
  12. This is what a squib did to my 45/70 revolver last month. Be careful.
  13. 1. Find more primers. Can never have enough. 2. Get faster overall. Faster transition, faster reload, faster first shot. I shoot revolver so reloading requires a lot of practice.
  14. In New England they fill in less than 1hr. But no one can find primers, so eventually it will slow down. I shot a match last weekend, shooting a match this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Friday match will be around 300 rounds (although the website says to bring 400). That is 900 - 1K rounds in one week. I will definitely have to slow down. Maybe one match per month during winter. I know people that dont know how they will get ammo traveling cross country. Some are afraid of shipping it and it getting "lost" (I know a dude that happened to), but they also can't find ammo locally and flying with ammo you are limited by weight and quantity. The damn primers need to go back in stock.

    Smith 929

Why not? If you load Xtreme 165 grain bullets you can push them to 1020 using N320 (per their website load data), doing the math on my head, that should put you right at or over major. That being said ... you can also push them under 800 and have a very light minor. I am pushing 160 grains at 820, and ordered 165 Xtreme to try them at 790-800.
  16. I also got my first DQ this weekend. Also, 180. The stage was set up like an upside down T, with the shooter starting in the middle of the top (bottom on a normal "T") and a few targets up front, then run back, 4 to the left, 6 or 7 to the right. I was shooting revolver. Shoot 8, reload, shoot 8, the plan was to turn around as I was dropping the moonclip and run back while reloading (stupid plan), we were forced to run towards every one. When I dropped the moonclip and went to load another, my gun moved 1" past my waist and the RO (good, fast guy) immediately called it out. No complaints, I didn't argue, the guy was right, I messed it up. On the last stage.
  17. I want to test if it was the gun or the primers. So I am taking apart the 25 rounds I loaded for that session and will shoot the primers to burn them off when I get the gun back. I did ask MRI to check the light strike issue while they replace the barrel.
  18. Single stage. Used a hand primer for each round. LR primers. New Starline brass.
  19. That is interesting I too would like to hear other opinions. Before factory 9mm became impossible to find, I tested a few factory jacketed rounds (.356) through my 929 and it shot much better than. 356, .357 and even .358 cast. I am waiting for extreme bullets 160gr to be back in stock to order a few and try those.
  20. That is interesting, because everyone complains the 929 is a pain to develop a load for due to the cylinder. I have to shoot .358 out of my 929.
  21. I'm starting with 9mm because that is what I have and can test. If that works, .357 will follow.
  22. I am going to start cutting my own moonclips for a 929, but also want to make some for the GP100. I am currently working on creating some samples and already have a guy, here in the U.S, that will mass produce them for me. I will mail you a few when I have them.
  23. Lol. $240 with shipping both ways included.
