  1. That Pardini is pretty nice. My friend that got me started doing this shoots a Pardini similar to that one.
  2. Is there any information available for the 2009 Area 7 Match? I am going to try and plan a family trip next year around that match.
  3. A friend of mine talked me into doing some indoor rimfire bullseye shooting through the winter. This is going to be my first shot at shooting bullseye. How many bullseye shooters do we have here?
  4. I do mine myself. It really is easy to get a reliable 2.5lb trigger on a Glock.
  5. Note the change in time on the application to allow some people their beauty sleep.
  6. We changed the application to show that we will allow all other USPSA divisions to shoot the match.
  7. I just picked up my "L" model this past Monday. It didn't make sense to me to pay extra for upgrades that I would be changing anyway.
  8. We have cancelled the October 4th Match due to a lack of interest. 2008_Rattlesnake_Production.doc
  9. I have ordered bullets from him twice so far. He is a very nice guy to deal with. The price of those lead bullets have me seriously considering switching to lead for all of my shooting.
  10. I have two 3rd generatin 34's and neither of them have a spring on the ejector. Is there an old style ejector for the 34,s?
  11. I have been searching this forum alot lately trying to come up with ideas for a 9mm steel gun that I would like. A comped Glock 17 with a red-dot of some kind is the way I am going to go.Deciding on what dot to use is the only draw back for me at the moment.
  12. It looks like brass is .39 per case. I think it would be fun to shoot a local match with that caliber. Those big holes would sure impress all the .45 shooters.
  13. That 300gr bullet at 700fps shouldn't have much trouble knocking down the steel. Those 275gr JHPs at $217 per 1000 might get a little spendy though.
  14. Barsto. I have one in my 34 and have never had any issues with it.
  15. I made B class at my first nationals. Apparently they did classification updates the morning of sign in.
  16. I shot my first nationals this year. I tried pushing during that match and ended up shooting more mikes in that match than I had shot in all the matches this year up until the nationals. There was one stage where I just decided that I would just relax and shoot the rest of the match without pushing.I shot that one stage very well. Thats when I decided that I might do alright at the match and started pushing again. The whole pushing thing didn't work out for me at all.

    OSHA

I noticed a post that Kimel posted below about new proposed OSHA regulations. Here is an e-mail that I received yesturday on the topic. Dear Friends, We received the following alert from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (www.nssf.org) today. This does not appear to be the usual legislative attack on the 2nd Amendment, but rather a regulatory proposal that may be an even greater threat to the future of our sport. We urge you to: 1) spread word of this proposal to your members, 2) express your opinion of the regulation to OSHA (especially important if you have a firearms related business) using the letter provided (Click here) or one of your own devising, and 3) contact your congressman to insure that they are aware of OSHA’s proposal and your position on that proposal Please share any responses you may receive from OSHA or your representatives with us. Thank you for your work. Regards, Dave Thomas, Executive Director Editor, Front Sight Magazine United States Practical Shooting Association PO Box 811 Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 (360) 855-2245 (360) 855-0380 (FAX) (360) 708-6828 (cell) www.uspsa.org dave@uspsa.org Proposed OSHA Regulation Threatens Firearm and Ammunition Industry The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the government agency charged with assuring the safety and health of America's workers, is proposing a regulatory rule affecting the manufacturing, transportation and storage of small arms ammunition, primers and smokeless propellants. As written, the proposed rule would force the closure of nearly all ammunition manufacturers and force the cost of small arms ammunition to skyrocket beyond what the market could bear—essentially collapsing our industry. This is not an exaggeration. The cost to comply with the proposed rule for the ammunition industry, including manufacturer, wholesale distributors and retailers, will be massive and easily exceed $100 million. For example, ammunition and smokeless propellant manufacturers would have to shut down and evacuate a factory when a thunderstorm approached and customers would not be allowed within 50 feet of any ammunition (displayed or otherwise stored) without first being searched for matches or lighters. NSSF and SAAMI have already had a preliminary meeting with OSHA officials to begin the process of explaining to them the major problems this proposed rule presents for all levels of the firearms and ammunition industry. Furthermore, NSSF and SAAMI are each seeking a 60 day extension of the public comment period (currently scheduled to expire July 12). NSSF is urging all retailers to contact OSHA directly and request a 60-day extension of the public comment period. Retailers should inform OSHA that the proposed rule constitutes a "significant regulatory action" as defined in Executive Order 12866 (1993) Section 3(f)(1) in that it will clearly "adversely affect in a material way" the retail sector of the firearms and ammunition industry, productivity, competition and jobs and that the annual compliance cost for all retailers of ammunition will far exceed $100 million dollars. If you choose to draft your own letter, the reference line must read as follows: RE: Docket No. OSHA–2007–0032 Request to Extend Public Comment Period and Request for Hearing on "Significant Regulatory Action" as Defined in Executive Order 12866 Please fax the letter to: 202-693-1648 (include the docket number and Department of Labor/OSHA on the cover sheet and in the reference section of your letter). Please e-mail the letter by visiting: http://www.regulations.gov and following the submission instructions.
