I shoot a custom 35 for limited, *&^*& love it. For production I shoot a 17, a 34 is great but I think the 17 cycles faster and gets back on target a little quicker. That is just me, your mileage may very.

+1 It would have been nice if it was a might dryer. We started on stage one Annette Aysen was the first to shoot the thing but she showed all of how it was done. Girl can shoot.

Taurus makes a pretty good gun. I have some, no complaints. Do you believe STI or Baer put a 1000 rounds through every pistol. I have had many Para's have 4 now all run great my 38 supers, 40 S&W and 45's limited open and single stacks. I keep them well maintained and they don't let me down. BUT, all guns can and do fail. All shooters have good and bad days. that is just the nature of the beast.

All that proves is that a single Para was capable of firing 1k rounds, in an unrealistically short period of time. What is your point? Isn't that what any gun companys(STI SV BAER or???) torcher test proves? On a side note, Para started the whole hi cap IPSC thing.

Thanks, I have about 700 Remington nickel 38 auto brass,new or maybe once fired. This is why I ask. I was also wondering, with the thicker web and mainly thicker 38 super brass do you adjust the load? To avoid higher pressure?

I was wondering, is 38 auto brass the same as 38 super. I saw some 38 auto for sale in the USPSA members area they, said it was. Others say it is thinner, to my vernier calipers it looks vry close.Wanting to stay safe. Thanks

If you're not mounting it on the slide, why not go with a regular C-More? The field of view is much larger, which translates into being able to find the dot faster on the draw. To big I shot a guys gun that had a less costly Nstar I think, mounted this way, anyway I like the way it felt and pointed.

What is the best mini red dot sight? Doctor, Burris, J-point, Optima2000 or??? I was wanting to make a set-up for my open 38 super. Looking at longevity(sp) brightness hold zero.Thanks

It is kind of hard to do but mostly takes time. The quick weld drys a darker gray so is easy to add black.

I bought a new STI Spartian off Gunbroker out of PHOENIX, AZ in 07 the same thing could be said about. I sent it back to the factory twice, then Sold it,marked as is. I still like STI stuff.

Then buy a couple cases of ammo put a 1000 in the bank, take your wife/girlfriend to dinner and a movie. I will shoot IPSC or IDPA with my custom Para 745 (less then a 1000 in it)againest anybody with any Big expensive manfacture of 1911's with my skill level(A,B)Just a thought...2500 dollars LOL

I thought it was great match, had a great time but, was also a long ride. I don't shoot revolver that much but, I did move up to B class. I think I am suppose to get some kind of plaque.

I run a power extractor in my Para 745 has ran great for 4 years. Shot the 06 Okla state IDPA match not a hicup. Had one in my P16 not a problem right up till I sold it.

Some times 2000 seems like it. When I started back even before, ancient history, if you had a set of bomars a wilson single port comp you was open. Now if you had 8/9 round mags you where hi cap open. I am going to try a little ancient history this year. It might be fun.
