  1. I'm actually already coordinating with Charlie to be the first instructor we bring in. Our club has never done this before though so the board needs to decide how they want to structure host fees and how much they will be but I'm hoping to get an idea of what that range and structure typically looks like so we can make sure to not be an outlier either way and that it's mutually beneficial for the club and any instructor coming in.
  2. I'm a member of an indoor gun club in my town and I'd like to talk to the board about bringing in instructors to offer training classes of different disciplines like competition, tactical, etc. The club hasn't done anything like this in a long time and is a bit gun shy but I think this could be a big benefit to the club and membership. Considering how many members the club has I'm often there shooting by myself so it seems there's plenty of opportunity to actually use the facility and benefit the membership. At this point I just don't know where to start with what the club should be charging as a hosting fee and what the other considerations are. If anyone can give me some feedback from either the host club or trainer side of the situation on how these events typically work and what we need to consider to have a safe and positive event it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like it is functioning correctly. Sorry for the confusion. There's nothing in there to give it a break feel unfortunately. It's not something that I miss during practice though. The only product that I know about that has a break feel is the Dry Fire Mag but that thing is offensively overpriced and you can't practice mag changes with it either. If you could take a photo of your G44 with the clip installed like the second photo above that would be great. Depending on how off it is I might be able to make an adjustment.
  4. It happened when I was loading some 9mm and I ran out of one projectile and switched to another of the same weight but different profile. I had to pull a few off the press mid stream while adjusting the seating depth so I may have had my head up my ass and did something dumb there but unfortunately I'm just not sure. That said I'm not 100% positive it was a double. It could have been a bullet setting back when it went into battery too. Either way I'm not interested in experiencing that again so if I can add an extra two stations and a powder check I think I will.
  5. It's looks pretty innovative compared to the rest of the Glock trigger market. It looks like the trigger bar pushes down on the sear. I'll be interested to see if it translates to real world improvement. I've dropped upwards of $300 on a "custom" Glock trigger and it was nice but I found a good light connector and striker spring was 95% as good at a fraction of the price.
  6. Thanks for the info. Hopefully it won't be much of an issue at most of the matches I go to. I've never seen anyone else using it. When one of the tablets uploads to Practiscore does it sync and upload all the scores by chance?
  7. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to sync the Practiscore Competitor app for live updates when I'm at a match. Should the scoring devices show up in the sync screen if we're on the same wifi? Do I have to get a sync code off of one of the scoring devices? I must be getting old because I've poked around and I'm not sure where to start but I'm not alone because I've talked to a couple others at my club and they didn't know either. Any help is appreciated.
  8. That's good to hear. I'm going to give them a call this week. I already modeled and 3d printed a bullet feeder and would consider doing a case feeder too since I'm planning on upgrading to a printer with a larger bed in the near future.
  9. Joe Chambers took one apart on IG live that he got in to fix because it wasn't running reliably. His feedback seemed to be that the fitting work wasn't on par with the premium price. It's worth a look if anyone else is still shopping one. The theory seems to be that they got too popular for their own good and the quality went downhill. They're definitely making some of the best looking 1911s though.
  10. Gotcha. I have no experience with any of the Mk7 equipment so I appreciate the feedback. I really like my Dillon but I'd really like to add another station for powder check so it's good to know I can mix and match without issue.
  11. No one needs a 5k gun to be competitive. You just need something decent and put in the work. Tony Wong is a CO GM shooting a Glock 26. https://youtu.be/LHe81qKET2k https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/285432-the-gun-doesnt-matter/
  12. Agreed. The kydex is just too tight so if you don't want the same thing you can't use the same holster.
  13. I actually read through your thread the other day when I was looking for some info on ditching the Dillon powder safety rod for the spring setup. Great stuff. I'm going to give it a try. Were you able to purchase a stripped down Mark7 or piece it together? Or did you just sell or store the case feed that came with your kit?
  14. I'm considering upgrading from my RL1100 to a Mk7 Evo. I managed to get what I'm assuming is an overcharge or double charge this weekend (that was fun) so my primary interest is the additional stations that will allow me to add a powder check to my current die setup. I figure now would be a good time to move the 1100 since I'll hopefully be able to get back most if not all of my investment. I have an extra Dillon powder drop that I use to switch quickly between powders. Is there any reason I can't or shouldn't use it on the Evo for the same function? My current die setup in the 1100 is a Lee U, Lyman M, DAA bullet dropper, Redding micrometer seating, Lee FCD. Is there any reason not to just transfer this setup to the Evo? I'm not unhappy with this setup but with the addition of a powder check I'll still have an open station. I currently only load 9mm but I'm interested in doing 300blk and maybe 223/556. With the 300blk, is it currently or will it eventually be possible to trim and load 300blk (from 223 brass) in one pass? Or is that too ambitious? Can any of the safety check sensors be utilized without the Autodrive?
  15. Same thing happened to my 1100 shortly after I got it. I figured it was a fluke but it seems to be a bit bigger than that. There was enough left that I could keep going and they sent a new one right away. If it goes again I'll be looking for another solution.
  16. I just tried it on a bag of brass I picked up this weekend and it worked surprisingly well. It's a lot faster than I was expecting. Here's the link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2913237 Great! I'm glad you're enjoying it.
  17. Yeah my printer sat in the box for a year because I didn't think it would be all that useful. Since I got going with it though I end up using it all the time and it has more than paid for itself. I just printed a brass sorting bucket last night.
  18. Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I haven't had the chance to try it in anything but my Gen 5.
  19. I have the TTI carry magwell and it works with OEM and TTI base pads so if I had to guess I'd say the combo in question will work. That being said I would imagine it would be a bitch to seat mags without an extended base pad in such a deep magwell.
