  1. Federal match primers I know are soft but am stumped on this. 4.3 gr of hp38 124 gr MG seated at 1.1550. I had 3 very minor punctures like barely. Did not damage breech face or striker. Striker looks perfect so I dont know what the cause is. Any ideas.
  2. My walnut is treated but not with the red stuff. Its Lyman and not sure what it is treated with, couch bound finally, I'll check it out in my shed tomorrow.
  3. I have all the parts to go open with exception of barrel..been waiting 2 months but I did have the throat cut to a certain spec..
  4. Hey so I've been reloading, didnt have a tumbler and was cleaning brass in hot water and dish soap then letting them dry. Now I'm tumbling in Lyman walnut media but not the red stuff. The tumbler I have is the Lyman 2500 magnum with the separator..is just separating the media from the brass sufficient enough or do I HAVE to wash them in water to get the dust out. I cannot even see the dust but there has to be a very small amount? What say you guys?
  5. Yes they are weak. Common problem. Call Robin up at Taylor Freelance and request to buy '140mm' wolff springs. They are the ones that he sells with his base pads. Hes a great guy.

  7. I admire you trying 10mm. And a glock. I get s#!t all the time for shooting glock uspsa. So much so I started looking at other guns thinking maybe everyone is right, until I shot said guns and decided I personally am so used to shooting glock it is ingrained into my soul..so I stepped it up a notch and went open with my current glock. Have not actually 'went' open yet but the parts are on the way.

  9. Gun is glock 17 open Kkm barrel and carver 4 port comp. Parts are on the way and in mean time have been working up some loads so I am ready to find what works best. Should I use 115 or 124 he bullets. So far I've only loaded 124.

  11. Okay thanks I was wondering about that. I did all my work ups with berry's plated 124gr not thinking about the whole plated thing so I ordered 3000 124 gr cmj projectiles from Everglades. I did however finish at 7.8 he of hs6 so when my parts arrive I will start with the 6.8 load and go up from there since I've already shot 6.6. Loaded to 1.1550.
  12. How are the 124gr HB FP bullets? Feed okay in a Glock? I think they said suitable up to 1500fps. Are these any good?
  13. I am using Hs6 and Berrys 124gr plated round nose. So far I have made batches of 15 to 20 starting at.. 6.8, 6.9, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.5, 7.6. Today I am going to continue batches up to 8.2. These are all loaded to 1.155 for the most part there are a couple inconsistencies with the projectiles so some are up to 1.600. Does it sound like I am on the right track. Will be using kkm barrel and Carver 4 port comp, I have wolff 13, 14, and 15 lb springs. Thanks.

  15. Well see, I will definatly keep updates going. I'm curious if when I go to the kkm barrel, should I replace the locking block I have with a new one? So the new barrel can have a new locking block to kind of mate to. I know glocks tolerances arent that tight but wonder if this should be done?
  16. Thanks to you Paul I hope you have a happy new year as well. And thanks to hi power jack for the recommendation. Is it that plated bullets are not suitable for major velocities? You know you guys, I struggled with the thought of "I cant shoot glock uspsa I need an all metal gun!" But I always have loved glock and I shoot them well. Bobby Carver has assured me he has shot many many 10s of thousands of rounds, if done correctly I should be pretty competitive with this open glock.

  18. Well I'm leaving all this minor limited stuff behind and just spent about a grand on all carver custom parts to go open along with kkm barrel and cr speed holster.
  19. Glock17. Just ordered carver 4 port comp and Kkm barrel along with carver mount thumb rest, not sure if I will use it or not, Cr speed holster, cmore 6moa dot, carver Wolff guide rod and 13 14 15 lb springs. 9mm major here I come. Bobby gave me some 9 major load data for hs6. I'm excited.
  20. Update... 4.5 he defiantly makes 130+ of in my 17. Hs6 is way better choice in my opinion.
  21. With 124 gr plated round nose berrys bullets, hp38 and fed small pistol primers anyone have a charge throw for minor? Thanks.
  22. Ya I practice at least 100 rounds support side per practice session. Even throughout the day I try to use my support hand more than the dominant in every day activities and it has literally made me become 100% ambidextrous..
  23. I disagree. In my opinion, you could be a REALLY good shooter and just tank out on classifiers. For what ever reason I still eat it pretty hard on classifiers. I dont know maybe I ate too much eggnog. Merry christmas...
