  1. No it was on me. And a 550c. I don't have a hundo gauge I have a Dillon 9mm case gauge that's what I use. You could say I may have gotten a little complacent
  2. Damn.. I was wondering about that. OK thanks I will pay more attention when seating Winchester primers
  3. So had a primer pop, winchester spp. 172 pf. No pressure signs at this load at all but had this happen. No jetting or damage to the breach face. Just went Psssssss! Almost sounded empty like no powder but I dont know how they would be possible. I pay close attention. Sorry about the bad pic but it looks like the gas just came out one side of the primer..
  4. And what I mean by got it running is working up loads. Have not had 1 malfunction.
  5. I've practiced and shot with it probably around 5k rounds since I got it running this last month. Wears the same if not less than a factory glock. Shooting major+compensator doing its job well=a very flat non violent recoiling competition gun. I dont know where people get the issues with "major is too much for a polymer frame pistil." That simply isn't the case as long as the gun is built correctly ran with the right spring weight, good barrel and comp that actually work.
  6. I love it. Shouldn't need an external safety in my opinion. We all know what happens when the trigger is pulled.
  7. Heres some good load data as well, Sorted by headstamp brass Hs6 at 7.8gr gives 172 PF 1.1550 COL. Silhouette 7.0 gr gives 168 PF, 7.1 gr was right at 176 PF I believe 1.1550 Federal SPP or Winchester SPP work great all the way down to a 4lb striker spring.
  8. I just wanted to give credit to Carver Custom and everyone who makes Bobby's business possible. I shoot Glock, always will. When I recently went Open and chose Bobby's gear it was an easy decision. Shoots nicer and flatter than my buddies Czechmate. It's about the operator for sure 100%, in my opinion it all starts with what makes you confident enough to train and practice. Heres mine. Carver Custom magwell, 4 port comp, angle mount for I like them better than the upright mount, many hours of conversation with Bobby acquiring his opinion and knowledge on what works best gave me this gun here. I run a kkm barrel and 7.8 gr gives me about 172 PF. I have tested all the way up to 187 PF and could of kept going for there were no signs of pressure using federal primers, but needed to up the recoil spring if I were to continue. I settled with a 15lb wolff recoil spring and wolff uncaptured guide rod. I do use a johnny glock trigger, I have a prototype that is strictly business in competition. 2 lb break with all safeties in tact and full striker/cruciform engagement. If you like running your glock in competition, try Carver Custom on for size for it will be your first and last choice. It was for me anyways!
  9. I'm running a johnny glock prototype that breaks at 2 lb consistantly, all safety's work, full striker engagement.
  10. Honest opinion, go with a Bobby Carver Open G17. I dont know why one wouldn't. This is mine and have shot thousands of rounds through 1911s and 2011s and I think its all about what makes you confident enough to practice. I am well practiced with Glock so I have no issues. "Beware of the man who owns only one gun, for he probably knows how to us it..." Great quote..
  11. Either way, it felt good, I can definitely clean it up though.
  12. Agree with stick. But also agree about the way the stage description is written.
  13. It seems to have a little less recoil than Hs6.
  14. Yap.. not much of a risk taker..just a bit fat p$%sy
  15. Woulda been faster if I engaged target 3 immediatelu after reload, then shot t2 then t1.
  16. Haha ya the hip jiggle was me anticipating the timer..and I dont know why I shot it left to right left to right. Have been dry practicing reloads a lot so next time will be better I hope.
  17. I'm very good at my brass prep. I get it by the 1000 for 5 bucks. My friend owns an indoor range. I dry tumble and get it all clean then throw down 6 or 7 different containers and sort by head stamp. So far I definatly trust f.c. brass, winchester, r.p. as of recently, have a s#!t ton of blazer and a bunch of brass like gfl, and some other off brand. I think I should be able to use blazer. Haven't tried yet though.
  18. You sure about that? Silhouette is slower than hs6 according to hodgdon burn rate chart.
  19. Thanks. That's okay though, that was my 178 pf load, was testing it. Not too concerned since 173 and 174 pf is a bit softer and flatter.
  20. 124 gr fmj or coated bullet over 3.8 gr hp38. Even 4.0 is light. 1.150
  21. Federal top win bottom..
  22. Update. Heres some pics of winchester wsp primere vs federal spp. Not much difference.
  23. Guess I'll be testing them in practice tomorrow.
