  1. My initial classification is A in Limited. Thanks for all the great advice. A tac sport is looking real good right about now.
  2. Ok, so I shoot Limited division right now and I do use Flock but will eventually end up in Open I am thinking. I have a dilemma though. I am just not sure glock is the right choice for a serious piece of gear for open or even limited divisions. For one the thing almost feels like a hand grenade that could go off any second if that makes any sense. I do not have the money yet but have been looking at a Cz tac sport or like a 2011 of some sort for limited or open. I do take this sport pretty serious and am uncertain I am making good decisions by shooting glock. I think, in my opinion for gaming an all metal gun is almost a must. I don't know. Looking for some good advice as I know I am in the right place. Thanks to all.
  3. I would say get more acquainted with your gun if you cannot confidently rip it all the way down and then reassemble. Maybe I just like to tinker around more than others but I always make sure I can strip all weapons down to their bones and then put back together again and be confident in doing so.
  4. Am I crazy to clean my mags and gun entirely after every match?
  5. Wow that's a nice picture. And thanks guys. Wow. They seem crazy good. I am just now noticing CZ in the uspsa world. I know how that sounds because they seem to be so good but I have been trying to stay true with what I shoot but I think I need an all metal, single action, limited major gun.
  6. So I'm looking at one of these from fire 4 effect. I shoot limited and have been eye ballin these for a while. How do you who have them like them?
  7. Hmm... Ya..damn..I cant make up my mind to go to a g22 for an open gun or 9mm major on the Glock 17. Of course I would love a 2011 but 5000 bucks is not in my pocket at the moment. Maybe I just shoot limited until I save enough for a 2011..or maybe I'll build a Glock 22 open gun...see what I mean, cant make up my f$*&ing mind.
  8. So I would bet money this topic had been covered here before but I am new. I am wondering with a 4 port comp and the right recoil spring combo, can a Glock 17 frame handle 9mm major for Open? I have been eyeballing a gun from Carver Custom.
  9. I also mean draw fire and Magazine change.
  10. What I would do is buy 1000 rounds of FMJ, (full metal jacket) ammo. Walmart does it cheap, and go to a range. Outdoor preferably, and shoot it. All of it. Just get acquainted and be safe dont worry too much about the fancy stuff yet. Get comfortable with the pistol.
  11. Par time set for 1.4 seconds to draw, hands at waist, dry fire upon good sight picture then magazine change..what would be considered a good time? I dont ever consider my training complete ever, can always improve somewhere, just wondering what is considered "good"
  12. I enjoy these classifiers. Easy to screw up so it's a small challenge. I would shoot it (I'm right handed) right to left staying at bottom picking up the head shot in the middle then sweeping from right to left across the top..well see how that goes.
  13. So I was running stock sights on my glock for a long while until I switched over to some nice after market competition sights. Seated blacked out rear, fiber optic green front. I was having trouble with pulling shots to the left with these sights for a while until today. Went to the range and shot 700 rounds or so. Just stand and engage. At first I was still pulling to the left but towards end of my session I was able shoot a 3 in group at 15 yards fast fire. In my opinion high volume sessions are a must.
  14. For this classifier, GM, M, A, etc times seem to be generously long. How do you guys to prefer to shoot this particular classifier and do you like it or is it one of your favorites? This is the classifier coming up at our next local match. https://youtu.be/uM3f7GqtQNA
  15. Thanks. Shoot polymer in uspsa. Love it.
