  1. Pine Tree Pistol Club uses the Coroplast indoors, that's where we got the idea. They have bases that hold a 2x4 upright and then they screw the sheets to the 2x4s. They also hang them fom the ceiling with S hooks on wires. Here's some links with pics. http://www.pinetreepistolclub.org/?p=gallery http://www.wisconsinshooters.com/coppermin...ls.php?album=20 Ronnie
  2. That is the stuff I don't really care for...when the wind comes around. Flexmoney is right, the wind can really raise havoc with the walls if not properly fastened. We screw our wall sections together top and bottom using 3" drywall screws and stake the bottoms in each corner to the ground using 12" spikes. We then drive 6' t-posts into the ground and fasten the walls sections to the t-posts with tywraps. Adding wall sections on the corners or at 90 degrees in the appropriate locations strenghens the walls also. We were surprised that the snow fence walls would also blow over, apparently there is still enough surface area. We now construct the snow fence walls the same way as our coroplast walls. Ronnie
  3. Well, there are several companies that make signs for political candidates here in SC. The sheets are 8X4 and run about $12.00 each. They are about 1/4 inch currogated plastic. We build 2X4 frames and use dry-wall screws to attach the plastic. They hold up very well and are very easy to move and store. If you go to our website and look at the Toys for Tots match pictures, you will see the walls. I will get the company's name here and perhaps you can use them to find someone in your area. Here's where we get our 4x8 sheets of plastic (Coroplast). They have a distributor 15 miles from our range in Wisconsin. http://www.regal-plastics.com/ Click on Sign Supplies, then Coroplast. A 4x8 4mm thick sheet costs us $8.50 any color. We also use snow fence, using 2x2 frames for both the coroplast and snow fence. Pictures of the walls can be seen here under Holmen Practical Shooters or Major Matches. http://www.wisconsinshooters.com/coppermine/ Ronnie

  11. Here's a forward falling popper design used at the Area 4 Championship. I was impressed enough with the design that I made it a point to take these pictures. Ronnie
  12. Bruce, Instead of eliminating or moving L10 to a category, don't clubs already have the ability to choose which divisions they recognize under Appendix A2? APPENDIX A2 IPSC Recognition Prior to the commencement of a match, the organizers must specify which Division(s) will be recognized. Thanks, Ronnie

  15. I would like to thank everyone who attended the match last weekend and hope that everyone had a good time. I also wish to thank the rest of the staff, the CROs/ROs, and all the sponsors that contributed to making the match a success. We have added the match results to the Wisconsin Shooters website. All the results are in one downloadable PDF. For those interested, we have added the combined final overall and combined overall per stage results. As I'm sure you're aware these are NOT Official results, just for your amusement. You can find results on this page: http://www.wisconsinshooters.com/uspsa_area_5_match.htm Thanks, Ronnie

  19. Hi Guys, Glad you enjoyed the match. I'm no chrono expert myself, but I can say we were using a pair of brand new CEDs with infrared screens. We'd like to thank CED for their donation of the chronos to the WI Section and the Area 5 Match. As far as our own loads, Lori was shooting CCI Blazer 9mm 115s that made 140.3 PF. The same loads made 139.7 PF at the Kentucky State 3-Gun last fall. My CCI Blazer .40 180s made 179.5 PF. P.S. Some pictures of the match are posted at: http://www.wisconsinshooters.com/uspsa_wi_section.htm Thanks, Ronnie Casper
  20. We won't be going to Mesa, but PM your address and I'll make you a copy. I recorded it on VHS. We were kinda disappointed, only about 5 minutes coverage. Kurt, you had quite a bit of airtime though. Lori had less than a second in the last scene, when you were coming off the stage. Here's some pictures on my site of the match. http://www.wisconsinshooters.com/3gun_matc...s_dpms_2005.htm Guy, same offer to you, PM your address. Ronnie
