  1. I also agree that practicing the classifier is good practice. You really need to put the timer on and test whether you are faster right to left or left to right. I'm right handed and had been told it was faster to go left to right. So, that's what I did for a long time. Then I ran a bunch of three target drills from 15 yards going both l - r and r - l. I found out I was on average .5 seconds faster going from right to left. I also had better points that way. Now when I can I shoot that way. It really helps shooting around the right side of cover in IDPA now.
  2. Sharyn, What type of camera are you using? I'm shopping for my Christmas present from my wife and those look better than alot I've seen on the web.
  3. Well, I just finished my first match with the new mag holders. After the initial "what the hell do you have there?!" HA, Ha... insert many jabs about me leaving my STI at home and shooting a Glock coments. They worked fine. Ralph is absolutely correct about how quickly you adjust to them. On one stage that required two reloads for production compared to one for limited, I equaled the time of one of my limited buddies and just edged out a better time than the other. My reloads were good, now when will they make a product to fix all the other bonehead things I do in a match. I have the trigger covered, mag holders, ammo, holster, belt, now time to work on the idiot doing the driving. I'm out of excuses.
  4. I just got mine today also. I've been playing with them for the last two hours. It took some getting used to, but now I think I really like them. I'll see how I do with them at the match in the morning.

All this time and I just now find out we have the same taste in drinks. A Cuba Libre is my very favorite beverage.

Nemo, Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy squading with you? Hint, hint.
  7. I've been to about 10 or so major matches and I can say that these stages were very fun to shoot. Those guys did an amazing job. The time schedules were top notch. I shoot Sat. afternoon and it went very smooth. My shooting on the other hand was not up to par. I'm a C class shooter with a B class card. Like you I'm happy with middle of the pack. I had my best finish percentage wise against Stradder that I've ever had. I had a few comments in fun to the designer of the fish in a barrel stage. He is not nearly as tall as I am. I went for broke on that one with no reload as I went prone to save time. I thank Beven Gram everytime I can do that. My shooting buddies and I have added it to the list for next year. Well worth the 7 + hour drive we made.
  8. Boo, I'm guessing you shot the NC state match.? It's hard to tell the break down from those scores because they have all divisions in one list instead of separated by division. I wanted to know my percentage of the top limited shooter, not the top open shooter. (with out having to set down with the calculator for an hour)
  9. Erik, I asked that same question about a month ago and it seems noone that will admit to it has tried. I figured that if it was good for limited why not in 9mm. I'm still burning up some n320 before I seriously test it in 9mm,
  10. Nik, Give me some ideas on how to get 24+1 w/arredondo 140 pads please.
  11. Should I take my USPSA patches off of my cover garment before the two state matches come up I plan on attending?
  12. Man! I ordered mine last weekend and it arrived yesterday. I installed it last night and wow. I think I'm really going to like this trigger.
  13. I'll have to keep a closer eye out next year. Alabama is my next door neighbor, so it is in driving range.
  14. I guess it just needed a very good cleaning. I finally cleaned it tonight and no it works fine. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not sure that the trigger return spring was connected now that I think back to when I took it apart. Someone was talking to me at the time and I can not remember.
  15. I had some aftermarket parts on there and I took them out awhile back. I'll give it a good cleaning. I have about 5 - 6000 rounds through it now.
  16. Every thing is stock and the springs are connected and not broken.
  17. I shot an IDPA match last month and had to rack the slide after almost every round because my trigger would not reset. I thought maybe my cut down recoil spring had given out, so I bought some new 13# and an 11#. It's all stock except for thr recoil rod/spring. It still will not reset when I hold the trigger in and rack the slide and then let off of the trigger. I've checked everything. What am I missing?
  18. Glock 21 w/milled in bomars, F.O. front sight, polished trigger parts, over/pretravel set screws, aluminum mag well, and a steel guide rod. I think I'm the only one in my area useing a G-21, or at least the only one I've seen so far.
  19. I've used Zero 180JHP + competition @1.165 OAL for the last year. Other than the price I can't tell the difference between it and the N320 I was using before. It was very consistant and chroned the same at the FL Open and the area 6 match. It makes the end of my slide and frame dirty, but so did the N320.
  20. Another vote for a 650. I wanted an auto index to prevent mistakes on my part and the case feeder is great. Keep it clean and it runs great. I can run 6 months worth of ammo in one weekend clean it and I'm ready to go for the next time. (6months = about 6,000 rounds)
  21. Awesome Nelson. I bet the boys ate that stuff up. Will we see you and the boys in the morning? Roger
  22. Merlin, Do they smoke any? I've used MB and they smoke really bad.
