  1. The link pin on my Edge almost falls out on it's own when you turn the slide over when it's disassembled. The pin sticking out keeps the slide from going back on until it is straightened out. One of my shooting buddies said that the pin should be a press in fit meaning it should not be that loose. Is this a problem? will it affect the performance? will it hurt my gun? Thanks.

I had the same problem with my Dawson adjustables. I didn't happen to realize until the second shot on the classifier that day. (new guy mistake at a new club. Always ask which stage the classifier is on before squading up.) Red loctite was the answer for me. Loctite the front sight also (learned that the next weekend when I heard the buzzer, drew, sight picture ... whoa where is me front sight? try a plate rack like that some time)
  3. I'm shooting this one soon. Any tips? Do you have to put the two rounds in T1 first? Or can you shoot right to left or left to right and make sure you put two in T1 each time?
  4. 2x56x1/4 set screw. I had an impossible time finding them. I ended up getting some from www.smallparts.com I think.
  5. singlestack, Are you sure about that 4.5 gr being about 155pf? My Major load is 4.5gr of N320 under a zero 180 JHP for a 168-169 out of my G22 with a KKM barrel, and the same OAL.
  6. If you want to shoot .45 for both why not go with a Glock 21? Add a brass magwell & baspads for limited 10 and take them off for IDPA. With the gun, magwell, extra mags, basepads, holster(you can use the same one for both and be competitive) your under $1000. Just a thought.
  7. Is that the piece that points in toward the frame when you put in together? Being a recent Glock convert I'm not sure of what some of the parts are (there are a lot of them too).
  8. Smitty, I called Dawson today and they are expecting the hammers in this week and should ship Friday or Monday at the latest. I happen to be in an area that does not have a good local smith.
  9. Smitty, No, I have not ordered it yet. I was going to try to today. I hope they have them in real soon since I want to fix my STI before the Open in Feb.
  10. O.K. I've searched and can not find Brians original post on how to do this. Does anybody have any pics? What the cut piece should look like? Where exectly does it go? Thanks
  11. It's kind of strange, it has the orange paint on the small spring( I thought it was rusty) but it feels really light. much lighter than my 14 pound recoil spring.
  12. Yes I have. I do get one extra round in my hi cap mags, but just like in the links above it's still only 20 with my Taylor basepads. I like the followers though for my carry gun. 17 rounds with one in the chamber.
  13. No, I bought it from someone else and did not think to ask which it was.
  14. How do I tell if my recoil master is the light or the heavy? Can I change it by getting a new spring for it? Thanks
  15. I'm thinking about a new hammer, sear, & sear spring. Dawson has a package with the Koenig hammer, cylinder & slide sear. and some springs. Does anybody have any pros or cons about this. By the way my gun is doubling and trippling right now. Thanks
  16. Flex, I like that idea. I'm going to talk to them in the morning.
  17. Well I finally got the chrono out today and was able to run this load through. That much difference in the OAL make a hell of a difference. Loaded to 1.190 I get 168 PF , loaded to 1.140 like these came back as I had a 180 PF. I'm not happy about this and the guy told me that the increased recoil was from the heavier bullet, not from the excess power. I'm still new at this, but that does not sound right to me.
  18. I was not able to chrono them on Sat. My shooting buddy forgot to bring it. I'm getting the chrono this week and will test them and let you know.
  19. When he gave me a quote it was on a customer supplied frame.
  20. I'm able to chrono them in the morning. I'm using VVN320 powder. I'm still new at this and just wondered if I should be all bent out of shape over .050 " ? Thanks
  21. My Dillon 650 is out being worked on, so I had a local reloading business load some match ammo for me. My load had an OAL of 1.190 (.40 s&w) and normally has about a 168 pf. When I got home my rounds measured out to 1.140. My question is will this severly effect the velocity of the rounds? They told me no, but I know it did in rounds for my Glock. Thanks
  22. I'll add some when I get mine. I just ordered a 5 pack. Along with my taylor +5's that will give me 21 rounds of .40! That might save me from that extra standing reload I seem to get.
  23. Thanks. Like someone here said springs are cheap so try a few. I have some Grams and ISMI on order now and I'll give them both a try.
  24. Thanks. I'm about to have an economy pack of 180gr. 40 S&W on the way. I'll be using VVN320. Is anybody using this powder and bullet combo? I'll probably start at 4.0 grains and work up. A buddy of mine uses 4.4 with a precision 185gr so I figured 4.0 would be a good starting point.
