  1. Well, I would ride it, at least I think I was riding it, but it would engage way to easy. I pulled it out and man what a horrific mess. There is no streching this mangled piece of garbage. It was all limp, twisted and only about half as long as one from my limited gun. I'll be ordering some replacements this weekend. Thanks.
  2. Yeah, I'm still working on that Benny. I am a Glock convert you know.
  3. I'll check for the dimple tonight. I think the spring could be the thing. I didn't have to push it in any at all when I put the gun back together last night.
  4. OK, the thumb safety on my open gun engages way to easily. Last weekend I thought I had my gun locked up tight with a stuck case(I had that issue the previous week) from a high pressure load. While I was beating it open I then realized that the thumb safety had engaged. This happened several more times that day. How can I make the engagement more solid? My limited guns acctually click when engaged/disengaged.
  5. DUH, see why they won't let me teach anyone older.
  6. I think it is the other way around. What do you mean XD, I'm normally smilling....I have the best job in the world....the pay sucks, but the job is great.
  7. Hey Z, more reliable is also subjective. My Tripp worked over .40 Trojan runs great compared to some .45's I've watched recently. It's all about finding the right combination regardless of caliber.
  8. Jeff, It depends on the match and if they are delivering ammo to some of their shooters or not. I know I've picked some up from them at the GA state match before.

    Which one?

Redfish! Fried or blackened(the redfish that is)?
  10. Jeff, I think the main reason is for a back-up. I've broken my press loading match ammo the afternoon I leave for a major match with no spare parts before. You can have a case of this on the shelf for those times. Or when things just happen in life and you could not load before a major. Or some people like the idea of leaving their cheap practice brass and having new stuff for major matches.
  11. I used 4.0 grains with a 125 zero JHP. I loaded a little longer than factory and they were very mild loads. Start lower and work it up.
  12. I went to sign up, but my password is on my home computer. I'll try tonight. The way I've been shooting, I'm glad the standards are low for the squad
  13. Oh, I see, you guys are just going to kick me to the curb now! Fine, I can take a hint.
  14. Another Thumbs up for the 7000. You can also get them from Speed Shooter Specialties
  15. Well Big Guy, I hate it for you too But, it couldn't have happened at a better time for me Maybe we will both have things worked out by next month.

    Nemo

Oh, I can't wait to see him at SAPSA in the morning.
  17. I knew you'd be in here when I read that. Any guy that puts a UVa sticker on the slide of his g-lock can't be right.... Good one, Flex. I just wish that there was a way that Michigan and ND could tie. 0-2-1 would look great next to their names. I'm hoping for a 0-0 game until the last 5 seconds when ND goes for it on 4th and 50 and Michigan gets a safety for the worlds ugliest win.
  18. Oh, got me. That was great, but I am pulling for them this week. There are only two teams that I dislike more.

    9mm 1911

Thanks, That's what I wanted to see. Now for a report on how they run.
  20. I don't load 115's, but my 125jhp load is 4.0 grains of VVN320 Ramshot competition works also.

Any chance of getting a pic with it inserted in the gun? Thanks.
  22. It's a great feeling isn't it? I did that on our first house about 10 years ago and am just about ready to do it on our current house. The best piece of mind you can ever have is knowing your house is actually yours. Way to go.
  23. Yeah, but super and super comp use different shell plates. 9mm and super normally use the same shell plate.

Gregory K, Are the mags(the tube itself) flush with the frame of a full sized 1911 or do they stick out?
