  1. Ended up ordering a 1050 instead of a XL650. Gonna pick up the Reloading Innovations Starlight for the 1050. Seems like everyone likes it the one for the 650 so hopefully the 1050 version doesn't disappoint.
  2. I'm confused too. The slots cut in the circuit board look like they dont touch the dies. In theory shouldn't affect the operation right? I am concerned about the exposed circuit board being around powder. Is anyone else worried about that, or am I just paranoid?
  3. Nice! I'm excited for my order to arrive from him. There's been some delays due to Hurricane Harvey and Labor day though.
  4. Looking for some light options for my Dillon XL650. I narrowed it down to 2 choices. Both are the same price so I'd like to hear if anyone has feedback on these units. Inline Fabrications Skylight, Simple design, 1 unit on top of the tool head and an LED stick on strip. https://inlinefabrication.com/products/skylighttm-led-lighting-kit-for-the-dillon-650 Reloading Innovations Starlight. Looks like a very nice circuit board one piece unit, lights up every station, and no LED strip to deal with. https://reloadinginnovations.com/collections/dillon-650/products/dillon-650-press-lighting-kit#shopify-product-reviews The Starlight looks to be a newer product, I'm curious if anyone's tried this yet? I know Inline Fab has had their unit out for awhile now, but I have heard a few complaints about it not lighting up well or about the LED strip peeling off after time.
  5. JP here, seems to work okay, Haven't shot much out of the gun yet to know for sure though.
  6. Curious to see what everyone's favorite brand of bullets are. Gonna make a order soon so this will be good reference.
  7. Im purchasing a Dillon 650 and some other accessories through Kimball @ Bobcat Armament / Bobcat Steel. Saw a few guys recommend him on this forum. Seems like a great guy thus far. He was very friendly and prompt with his responses, put together a quote without trying to up-sell me on anything, and the price came out a little bit cheaper than directly through Dillon. I have yet to receive the press yet... according to him, his order should arrive next week, and I should get it a few days after that, so I will report back with that. Ordering through Dillon may be a bit faster, but I opted to go through him due to his customer service.
  8. So finally got the Brownell's mags. They look identical to the metalform mags and the finish is much better, but I'm having some issues with failure to feed on the last round. I'm not sure what's causing it, but my metalform mags don't have this issue. I do notice that when I load my colt mags, the very first round you load is always loose. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Also noticed the bolt locks open on the last round sometimes, before the last round is chambered... Round halfway out of the mag, but bolt locked back. PS: I'm cycling the gun manually with snapcaps if that makes a difference. They cycle fine with my metalform mags and the last round feeds perfectly and bolt holds open.
  9. Using a Radian 90/45 safety with the 45 degree option and KNS pins. Works fine. Perhaps the trigger pull may have been affected a little, but not enough for me to notice.
  10. My local gun store has one. Fit and finish are pretty nice for the price. He sold a few and hasn't had any customers come back with problems yet.
  11. Thanks for the info! What do you do to prevent that surface rust on the metalform mags?
  12. Thanks guys. I went ahead and ordered 3.
  13. I have one coming that you can have. pay shipping and I'll send it as soon as I get it. *edit... NVM I have an M7... not H7. Sorry.
  14. Has anyone given the Brownell's Colt 32rd mags a shot? I've been told that the finish and quality look nicer than the OEM/Metalform mags, but I'm more concerned about the feeding and reliability of them. How are they compared to the metalforms?
  15. Just saw a video by JP stating that the SCS buffer should stick out from the buffer tube about 1/8" to obtain some pre-load, they recommended using a quarter as a shim at the end of the buffer tube. Is anyone else doing this? This whole time I was throwing my SCS (including the one on my AR15) without a quarter/shim and having it sit flush with the buffer tube. Am I doing it wrong? I'm worried about over-travel caused from shimming the SCS and shearing the gas key..
  16. Dang, That's a bummer. Guess I'll have to figure something else out. We're only allowed 10rds in our mags here when we compete, so there are a ton of mag changes. LRBHO is kinda useful in a lot of those situations so I kinda wanna keep that feature. Time to experiment I guess.+
  17. If I use the CS100-M11-S17 for the JP SCS Buffer setup, will this cause the LRBHO to not function?
  18. Yup Dustin took care of it so quick, by the time I finished writing a reply to his email, he had already sent me a tracking number for the package. Awesome!
  19. Yup I got 4 bags as well. All bags except for the springs are covered in oil. No trigger shoe. I sent him an email, will see what he says.
  20. Thanks for the heads up! I will have to do some tests myself soon. As for adding that Smalley wave spring, that's essentially short stroking the gun right? Would the last round bolt hold open still work after this mod?
  21. I just received my Hiperfire 24c... I was under the impression that the hipershoe was included? I didn't receive one... or is it an extra option? Also noticed that my trigger parts were covered in grease... I watched some unboxing videos, and there didn't seem to be grease on those triggers... Is this trigger used?
  22. Thanks for the input! Much appreciated. Would you mind sharing what kind of ammo you were using with the JP SCS tuned that way?
