I emailed Hiperfire with the same question. The person who replied told me that he uses a Talon Ambi Safety. He did mention that it may or may not affect the feel of the trigger, but he does not notice it. I use the Talon in all of my guns, and will be testing it with the Hiperfire 24c when it comes in. I'll report back with my findings.

Any lower or receiver set should work. You get some neat perks with the more expensive billet lowers like ambidextrous bolt release, ambi mag release, set screws instead of roll pins, weight reduction cuts, etc. I personally like the ambi bolt release features so I normally recommend San Tan Tactical or Ascend Armory receivers if it fits in your budget. If you're tight on funds... I'd pick Aero. Can't go wrong for the price...

I see some people using the SR-Gold AR10 triggers in their PCC's with some success due to the taller hammer. Has anyone tried using a AR10 ELF Trigger?

Got my viper in about a week ago.. Haven't been able to shoot with it since I'm still waiting on my mount however just playing around with it; I'm quite impressed to say the least. I paid 580 for mine when there was a 15% off sale so for the price, there's really nothing that can beat it. Glass is pretty sharp, you can see some feathering at 6x in the edges, but it's real minor. Don't know how well it hold's zero yet, but I'm sure it should be fine.

I just wish the Razor came in a matte black finish rather than the burnt bronze they got going on. Would sure be a lot more appealing... to me at least.

Really? I contacted JP and they specifically said that they deliberately leave the weld so that it is visible, they even sent me pictures of their welds. Wonder if they stopped doing that.. Thanks for the responses everyone.. I did contact a few more vendors and most have said to just leave the weld there. I'm assuming they are speaking out of liability, but the general consensus from them is to have it there so no one will bother to hassle you about it

So I asked a few gun shops and got mixed answers. I have a 14.5" barrel pinned and welded with a compensator so that it meets the 16" requirement. There is a small nub of weld still visible protruding from the weld. Am I allowed to grind this nub down and blend it so that it is flush with the barrel creating a more seamless look? I was told that the ATF needs be able to verify a weld by both visually and by touch. I was also told by another gun shop that I could blend it, as long as the comp is still fixed to the barrel. What's the truth?

Thanks for the input guys. I decided to go with a QC10 Colt Lower and a Bad lever and use the extra cost savings towards my first reloading setup. Will definitely use metalform mags as everyone seems to like them. Mahalo

Thanks for the feedback! I may just go that route for my PCC. Its a bit of a costly route just for an ambi bolt release but oh well. This "fun gun" that was supposed to save me money is turning out to be a pretty high priced $2k build lol....

I thought about it, but the 9mm bolt release uses a different design than the standard so it wouldnt work. Too bad they dont offer their lowers. Thanks for the feedback on the Hahns, I havent heard anyone having issues with them at all so maybe thats a good sign. What mags are you using? I wanted to avoid it since they dont fit well and look horrible but this might have to be a solution rather than forking over an extra $200 for a billet receiver + hahn block.

So I'm starting a PCC build at the moment, however I don't see any manufacturer's making an ambi bolt release for the dedicated 9mm lowers. It's not a make or break option, however, all my other rifles have ambi bolt releases. I would prefer to keep a uniform feel across all my platforms. Does anyone know of a dedicated 9mm Colt lower that offers ambi bolt release/catch? The other option I saw was to spend $200+ on a 223/556 lower that has that function plus another $200 for the Hahns dedicated-style magwell block in order to convert the lower to 9mm, which will allow me to use the bolt release. If that's the case, Does anyone have experience with a Hahns magwell block? How reliable are they compared to a QuarterCircle10 (or other brands) 9mm dedicated lower? Any feeding / LRBHO issues? The Hahns block is sort of a last resort option since it's so costly, just to have ambi controls. I may just have to suck it up and retrain my muscle memory to use the standard bolt release location.

I just put an order in for the Gen2 viper on opticsplanet. It says estimated 5-7 weeks shipping so we'll see when it gets here.... From what I heard and watched videos, the viper is really effective for the money, but still lacks a bit when compared to the Razor. It fit my budget, so that's what I went with.

Finally made an account after lurking for quite some time. Been wanting to try USPSA for a long time, but never got the chance to. Used to shoot IPSC with my airsoft 2011 infinity replicas. Hope to get into USPSA/multigun soon. Aloha
