  1. I expect the RO to ask me on facing uprange starts and COF's that have multiple turns and alleys. I don't mind at all. I want him/her to stay safe as well.
  2. I used my DOH at the Single Stack Classic/Nationals. Heinie may not have wanted it but by using USPSA rules there wasn't much choice. I love mine. At the Nat's it's not an advantage though. Too many gun on table and/or wrists above shoulders starts.
  3. Check out www.riopractical.com. Also, Phoenix Rod and Gun club has Thurs. Night Steel.
  4. Jeff, Are we able to view the squads or somehow find out who we're squadded with? I'm not looking to change squads, just curious. I'm taking Max's class so I know one person with me. Thanks Jeff. Jason We did not do online squadding, so it is not possible for you to view who is on your squad. I also need to get a final class list from Max, as not everybody seems to remember to put that on their application. As we get closer (early July), I will be sending out an email to you individuals showing your squadmates. DVC, Jeff Thanks Jeff.

  6. Scott, Thanks. It was a lot of fun. It was great seeing so many familiar faces there also. I'll be back next year if its at all possible. We're all going to the Limited Nat's this year also. Find a way to go to the SS match next year and we'll all travel together. I didn't get to watch them shoot but Rob, Kelly, and Mike shot the lights out. See you at Tues. Night Steel? Go Braves!!!!!
  7. Jason you won C class because you are a bagger! j/k.Glad to here it was a great match! HaHa! Thanks. My BP teammates kept saying the same thing to me. I'm moving up so they can't say it anymore. I've only been shooting USPSA since July so I'll get there. Duane, Stage 12 was nothing special, I just won it that's all. Steve Horseman likes Stage 9 because that was his highest finish on a stage (5th) and he beat me (8th). Rio Salado shooters did kick ass at this match, especially Mike Linn who was 15th overall in his 1st National level match! Watch out people. Kelly, I just also remembered that every single one of us is either law enforcement or a "stinkin" lawyer. For all of you out there I'm not a lawyer and neither is Mike L. or Steve H. That just leaves one person. Hmmmm it must be...
  8. Its nice to be remembered. I must be well loved. Us Border Patrol guys get no love. I won C Class in the match and the side match both. And you're right, it was Simon who won B. Jason
  9. They both were good challenges so I'm not sure which one I'd say was THE true test but I agree with Kelly about one thing....I didn't like stage #4 (partially because I screwed it up). Kelly and Steve both shot well as well as Mike L. Rio Solado shooters represented themselves well there. Kelly N. finished 9th overall (with a stage win), Steve H. was 20th overall, Mike L. was 15th overall (2nd A class), I finished down the list at 53rd but I won C class and the XD side match, and of course TGO took it all. These are all Rio shooters. I love shooting against these guys and watching them every week at Rio because they only make me better. Great match and I can't wait til Sept. Jason
  10. Congrats to TGO. I wonder what would've happened if Taran Butler had made major. He finished 4th overall and shot minor. He chrono'd and was at a 164.99 PF. A friend of mine in my squad made major at this SS Nat's with a 165.00 PF. I had never heard of that til I saw it with my own eyes. I enjoyed the match and all the stages flowed pretty well considering we shot 12 stages in one day plus chrono.
  11. Its hard to say Steve. Was the increase in shooters because of the change from the RL/BE scoring methods....or was it because of the TGO factor...or was it because it was new? I'm certain that "single stack matches" are going to increase in popularity...but what seems to be missing is participation in the division....when other divisions are offered. Single stack matching present a bit of a "captive audience" view of the division. I'll continue to shooting "single stack matches" where thats the dedicated focus of the match....but otherwise, its L10 for me. I shoot with Steve H. at Rio Solado in Mesa and I can say for sure that Single Stack as of late has been stronger than L10. No, not as strong as Limited or Open but stronger than L10. I'm sure it changes from club to club but here in AZ it's doing pretty well.
  12. Notice how the camera man forgets about the shooter?
  13. Totally depends on what you are most comfortable shooting and on which division. None are wrong choices. Just have fun, enjoy the sport, and make changes as you see fit later.
  14. Thanks Crusher. What do you feel are the benefits for you with the downward curve as opposed to the standard curve?
  15. Can anyone give me more info on the Enos trigger (up or down curve), the flat trigger, or any other triggers? Thanks.
  16. 12 out of 14. Guess I need to use more SMG's.
  17. As for now the DOH IS legal in all divisions including Single Stack.
  18. Scott, I think your wife just punk'd me. Congrats on getting the nod from the boss. This looks like it's going to be a great match. I don't think I'm going to get to go though. I have several big upcoming matches on my plate for the year already. I looked at the shooter list and there are some good shooters on there. Good luck and I'll have your hat soon. Where's my shirt by the way?
  19. Crusher, I've seen it but never used it. Can you or someone give me some info on the Enos downward curve? Thanks.
  20. Thanks Matt. I forgot to write that I have mid-sized hands.
  21. I am having a pistol built for me and on my STI I have only used the curved trigger that comes on the base Edge pistol. What are the advantages/disadvantages to a short curve, long curve, flat trigger, etc..? For some reason I like the coolness factor of the flat trigger but I wanted to find out some experiences with it and other triggers.
  22. Merlin, Keep us updated on this one. Virgil is building me a gun right now.
  23. Scott, Let me be there when you ask the wife. I've never seen her give you the evil eye. Jason
  24. Glad I could help Rika. PM me about what you are looking for exactly in the 9mm when you get a chance. See you at the match. Jason
