  1. You don't. You charge enough to cover the overall cost and you don't hold 87 different nationals. Maybe even hold the events in places with more people, lower cost lodging, and existing large facilities. Crazy, I know.
  2. Staff/RO labor, and Associated costs for labor, were greater than 60% of the total cost of the 2022 CO Nationals. Nationals are heavily subsidized by the membership; ie lose money. It appears that Nationals has become RO payola with stipends, lodging, banquets, and gifts. 2024 CO Nations are $400 per shooter to enter and are estimated to still lose roughly $300 per shooter. This is a fairly compelling reason why local clubs should run outlaw matches. If the USPSA won't clean up it's spending there is no reason to run their matches.
  3. Ben Berry discusses the board meeting. Included is the public's response to the board members.
  4. If you guys believed that you'd still be pruning posts and locking threads. The USPSA corporate staff is hedging against the legacy BoD losing too. The longer this goes on, the worse it gets. Old people aren't the future of USPSA and the young members do not care about the legacy status quo.
  5. I'm more than OK with outlaw matches. Like I said, I've shot plenty of outlaw matches and they were fine. I've shot some totally screwed up USPSA matches too so I'm not swayed by the status quo argument. I suspect the three remaining legacy BoD and corporate staff will be gone before the end of the year. The status quo crowd got caught completely flat footed by the shifting popular opinion.
  6. It sounds to me like some of you guys have a lot to lose with all of these clubs going to outlaw matches. The status quo probably wasn't such a good choice after all. You may want to help solve some of the present problems with the BoD and organization staff before the damage becomes irreparable.
  7. You have really misread the room on this one.
  8. Yes. Social media has completely swayed public opinion. The public meetings last week provided concrete evidence of what has been happening for a very long time. The issues are unescapable and the organization can't lie about them any longer. A4D resigned last week due to the public pressure. Clubs like Sig Academy have publicly unaffiliated and sponsors are publicly withdrawing. It is only a matter of time, USPSA is either going to entirely collapse or the legacy BOD and staff will resign. Possibly both. Just look at this forum, threads that would have been locked two weeks ago are now left open.
  9. Shooters do want uniform rules, that is true. I have shot a ton of outlaw matches though, and never needed to do research to shoot the match. The matches are mainly Outlaw due to weather, not club drama. The exception being an outlaw match in Everett, WA that I shot. Bruce1 threatened to sue the people running the match for using USPSA's rules. The couple running the match were awesome and I've shot USPSA matches with them elsewhere in Washington.
  10. That's the reverse of the same argument made for the status quo. "No one cares, they just want to shoot the local match and don't care about the organization". Your argument is for the status quo because someone might go to a local match and care about the organization/rules. I guess the status quo is problematic after all. Local match directors do care and are taking matters into their own hands.
  11. A7 appealed the removal to YML and was voted back on. A4 has been getting raked over the coals because he wasn't an RO when he took the seat. He had enough and quit.
  12. The marketing director started clubs are unaffiliating and asked ADs to contact them.
  13. Just because a person or organization has no affiliation to USPSA does not mean they are not incentivized to maintain the status quo. There are all kinds of people and companies that are not paid or affiliated with the USPSA that do not want anything to change because their livelihood comes from the sport. This forum would probably not exist without the the USPSA. The reason you keep getting accused of covering for the bad behavior of the organization is because you keep covering for the status quo. The sport is in jeopardy with what is taking place.
  14. No, that's cronie'ism. It's also why the USPSA organization has the problems it does.
  15. It's the health of the sport, not politics.
  16. How long will mods and staff on this forum cover for the USPSA management by locking every discussion?
  17. Changing Production to 15 rounds will fill the budgetary shorfalls from deficit spending.
  18. This absolutely ruined local matches for me. Having to compete to compete is lame.
  19. OP is not in the US and "anywhere" suggests anywhere, not just the slide.
  20. It actually is. CZ and Toni Systems both make Frame mounts for red dots. You just need the new Czechmate/TS2 mount. https://www.tonisystem.it/en/6529/scope-mount-micro-red-dot-connection-for-cz-ts-ts2-racing-green-deep-bronze/

    Shadow 2 in LO

The benefit of converting a Shadow to SAO is the trigger shoes available. The hammer, sear, and disconnector are all DA/SA parts. The SAO trigger geometry isn't the same as the DA/SA trigger so there are some differences in feel and pull weight. The difference between SAO and SA isn't that dramatic though.

No, your mags need tuning. Do a search, there is a post with the magazine dimensions you need.
  23. Mods, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. Now that USPSA is officially "USPSA IPSC Confederation", will this section's name change to match? I feel this section is now out of sync with the organization and sport. If this isn't the right place to ask, please let me know how to move the thread or where to start a new one.
  24. The BOD that were sued for sexual harassment and later caught instructing each other how to break Colorado laws? I have low expectations.
