I don't think it's a factory part, since it has a built-in external (visible) trigger stop that the factory trigger doesn't. It is considered OEM. It is production 100% legal. Yeah, I read that. But what I meant was that I don't think that this is a factory produced part. I wonder if PRP sells these to the SA Custom Shop for their trigger mods. That would give it "OEM" status.

I put one of these in my XD45 Tactical (combined with a Springer drop-in kit). Absolutely love what it did to my trigger pull.

I use an XD9 Tactical. XDms are difficult to get in California, but I find that the original XD feels better in my hand than the new one.

There is no exemption for bringing hi-caps/standard capacity mags into California for a competition. FYI, the law regarding hi-caps in California has nothing to do with possession. It only bans the sale, manufacture, and importation. You could find a bag of hi-caps on the side of the road, and it would be perfectly legal to keep them.

I like the Distinguish Master class. It creates the opportunity to move the high-end professional shooters out of Master, and gives others a chance to do well in that class at big matches.

I have two identical guns for competition. Especially if you fly or drive a day to get to a match, it would completely blow to have the match end because your gun failed.

Really? Are you absolutely sure? Or is this transference? Understandable. But if a range is facing that circumstance, then they need to give serious consideration as to whether they should be hosting action pistol matches at all. As I said, I sympathize with a range that feels the need to do this. But I'm also not going to spend $500+ in airfare and a couple hundred in hotel costs to go shoot a championship match at a range that feels that institutes these rules. Not hating on them. Just not going to spend a lot of money to go shoot there.

I've shot a local match at a club in the southeast that had a no-higher-than-the-berm rule. Quite frustrating, since nearly every >Sharpshooter indexes the muzzle up during the reload. It is also what kept me from coming out to their sanctioned regional championship. I understand the reason for their rules. I hope they understand my choice to spend my competition dollars somewhere else.

2012 Golden Gate IDPA Regional Championships Richmond, California June 8-9, 2012 Registration for the Golden Gate IDPA match is now open. Come out to Richmond and join us for a couple of days of action pistol shooting with some of the best IDPA shooters in the region. This is one of only two sanctioned IDPA matches scheduled on the West Coast this year. Match Website: http://www.GoldenGate-IDPA.com The match will include 11 stages, 150 competitor slots, and more than 18,000 rounds expended over two days. This year's event will be scaled down compared to previous years. We are not doing a prize table, holding side matches, or providing a BBQ. On the other hand, we have dramatically cut the cost of this match to provide an affordable day with tough courses of fire in an official sanctioned IDPA match. The dates are Friday and Saturday, June 8th and 9th. Safety Officers and Staff will shoot on Friday, and the main competition will shoot on Saturday. Awards will be presented after competition concludes on Saturday. The match will be open to classifications of Marksman or better, and you will need to have shot a Classifier Match after June 8th, 2011 in the class in which you wish to compete (requirement not applicable to "Master" classification). This is a great opportunity to take part in a major shooting competition, even if you don't consider yourself a "championship" shooter. We encourage you to consider competing and enjoying a great day of shooting and fun.
