  1. I know this is an old topic, but I'm contemplating of getting an AET barrel and need more information. Any developments after almost a year or is it still the same? Any advice from shooters who have one? What are my alternatives? Thanks so much!!
  2. 19???? Thats not fair dude! How come my Para can only hold 18???
  3. ok, i'll read up on calling the shots. What I've noticed in my limited experience is that I sometimes even miss point blank targets even when I was "looking" for the holes. Once I thought I hit the target twice since I saw some soil splash behind the board...however after the run, there was only one hole. Anyways, maybe I'll read up some more and see if I can apply some of the things that I have learned. Thanks so much guys!! Really appreciate the help!
  4. To get 21, did you guys have to cut the spring? I am using a locally made basepad that is supposedly +3 on a P16, however I can only get 18. I think I can squeeze the 19th round but its un-reloadable. If I do buy the Grams spring and follower, can I expect maybe one or two rounds more?
  5. I shot a Level 1 just today, 5 stages total. On one stage I had all A's, 32 of them . My squad mates adviced me to shoot a bit faster, they tell me I'm too "safe". On that stage I'm probably about 6 to 8 seconds off the fastest in my squad. I really didn't know who won the stage, all I know is that I got more A's. I think I'm guilty of what Flexmoney mentioned, I do look for the holes. However I don't understand this completely. If I don't look at the holes when I'm shooting the board how would I know if I should re-engage the target? Also isn't the perception of the hole instantaneous? Once the shot goes off and I see the hole isn't this ok since the gun is not ready to fire the second shot anyways? (The sights are still in the process of lifting) Or is the mental process of seing the hole actually slowing me down? Also a more experienced shooter pointed out that if I wanted to shoot as "safe" as what I'm doing now, then I can't afford to miss. He said that once I miss a shot, then my strategy goes down the drain. I'm really confused! Anyways, the match today was only my 3rd Level 1 and my 5th overall. Should I keep shooting like this or would you advice me otherwise? In practice I noticed that if I go warp speed I end up missing and my time is maybe just around 2 to 3 seconds faster on shorter stages and maybe up to 8 seconds faster on longer stages. For me the reward does not merit the risks at all....don't you think?
  6. Thanks CJ! Thats really good advice. In any case, can someone teach me how to delete this topic? I read a topic that is exactly the same as this, I'll just join over there before someone tells me to do a search
  7. Hello Guys! I have just shot my third match, a level 1. During one stage of the match, I had 3 As and a Charlie in a swinger. It was kinda stupid, since I couldn't see the hits, I kept shooting at the swinger. Whats even funnier was that I can only get off one shot per cycle. Also there were instances that I followed up a shot on a static target just because I saw that I didn't get an A. I really don't know why but I'm just addicted to Alphas...i had one stage 15 shots, all As. My question is what's more important? Total time OR getting your hits (shooting Alphas)? For a beginner like me that wants to see dramatic results, what should my strategy be during a match? I really don't understand how the points are calculated yet, I just go to the board and look at the results...although I verify my hits and time before signing the score sheet. Can someone give me some good advice? I really want to do better in my next match... sorry....i have just read another post just like this one, I'll just join that one..how can I delete this one?
  8. Here's a pic of mine. Had a trigger job w/ STi parts to 3#, and added an S&A Magwell. Can't really say anything bad bout it. I've gone through 1200 rounds so far with crappy, un tumbled reloads and it has swallowed everything without a hiccup. I think they are a great value for someone starting out. Maybe not as good as an S_I, but it works, and costs less. My 2 cents worth
  9. Hey i have a Dekock-er in my walther P88....maybe he invented it?
  10. Sharyn, thanks for the video! Very nice, as usual
  11. i just bought a pocket pro.... If only I knew this was coming out, I would have waited.
  12. So in essence one will choose either tumbler depending on the amount of brass you would be cleaning at a given time? And that the life of both motors are the same? I highly respect the opinion of Eric, and he does have experience with the product. Regardless of the motor being bushing or bearing, if the CV2001 is sturdier and will last me a longer time, then thats where I will be putting my money. Unless of course Dillon can tell us that performance is the same? I don't think you gave us any misinformation Eric, you just shared your experience with us, which is invaluable and ultimately more important than the specs. Thanks!!!
  13. Hello....I was planning to buy a Club Timer, however the "not available for International billing and shipping" clause kinda confused me. I plan to use a Canadian Visa, however the shipping address is in California, does this scenario count? If i can't do this, would anyone point me to a website that can do this? Also is the Club Timer 3 a battery hog just like its older brother? Don't want to start paying more for batteries than ammo.....
  14. Does the CV-2001 and the CV-500 share the same motor?
  15. Hello guys, I'm not sure if this question have been asked before....please bear with me if it has. Does the Dawson Ice Magwell for Para fit the IPSC box? I think Kirk called Dawson a few months back and they said that it does, however I just want to confirm with people who have actually done this before. Once I purchase the Magwell, I wouldnt be able to return it if it doesnt fit. Thanks you so much!!
  16. For a 1911, would chroming change the fit of the gun? Doesnt chroming make the parts thicker in some way? If it does, then won't the fit be affected?
  17. Just a quick question....is the EE trigger kit a drop in item? Will a newb be able to put it in himself?
  18. Sorry to butt in but I'm just curious as to how the Ghost performs with a Para? I'm guessing most of the people here are using S_I guns, and I'm just wondering if the Ghost will work just as well with a Para. Thanks!!!
  19. cybrosh he emailed me and said he'l get back to me....then poof! never heard from him again...emailed him a couple more times again...nada.
  20. I wonder where Marcello is? Has anyone found him yet?
  21. show off! Dude, even your grip and basepads matches with the holster and pouch!
  22. Shooter's Connection sells Guga Mag pouches? How come I can't find it in their site? I'm in the market for a holster and magpouch and I've decided on the Guga based from the recommendations on this site. My problem is.....my emails are not being replied by the merchants. (Infinity is helping me out here, but its been 2 weeks and I really feel like I'm being ignored) If Shooter's are carrying them, I would place in my order in a heartbeat! Chuck has been the only person nice enough to answer my queries.
  23. I've just ordered a Para P16-40 Limited!! If I new the Limited Todd Jarret was gona come out, I would have waited for it. Oh well...
  24. Wow!! Love the video, thanks Sharon!!! btw, for some strange reason, i can't seem to download the second video. Is it just me?
