that's interesting. the R3 has constant problems with the buttons. I'd assume that they use the same circuit board and buttons.
They feel very different for some reason. I own several of each.

Thanks Rich406. What happens when a primer jams and you're automated? Are there any automatic shutoffs or do you have to watch every reload and quickly smash the off switch?
Mine didn’t set off the clutch stop when primers jammed. You had to watch it like a hawk.

A little late to this party, but that's what happens when you finally make it past the first page of the forum. Plus I like thread necromancy.
I also like the RP thumb rest. I actually bought one on a whim while I was getting a couple of things for my press. Saw it and thought "that looks interesting," installed it and immediately ordered a second for my back up gun. I had been using Akai's thumb rest. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it's convex as opposed to flat or if it's the angle, but my support hand definitely likes it better. I feel like I'm able to apply more overall grip pressure, which is probably a me/my hand thing, but I like them a lot.
So glad you stumbled on this and like it. The RP website is dangerous as I always end up getting more than planned.

Oh, I didn't realize that. Then I'd definitely get an Infinity.
But don't fancy cuts make you faster?
Haha. No but the new tech does.

I got to mess with one. I really like the grip panel idea. You can add where you need more contact. The one I tried was excellent. It's too bad the grips are proprietary. The gun itself is really nice, but if I'm spending that much, I might as well toss in another $1-1.5K and get the Infinity.
You don’t HAVE to spend more an SV. Fancy cuts will add costs but aren’t necessary. Still hard to grasp that the Chaos is this much. The guys I’ve talked to and shoot with that own or have owned the 1.0 aren’t getting one.

good price too!

Yes SV are blingy although my current build is not. They run very well and as good as or better than any other open guns I have owned. They call me at least twice a month with updates and know my name when I call them. For me I am very glad I landed there after trying many other top shelf names and after some unique and several frustrating experiences.

I used to run new Starline brass for majors in my 9x19. Now I used mixed brass for everything that I process myself. Start with the Rollsizer decapper when brass is dirty, next I wet tumble without pins but using Brass Juice cleaner, dry then roll size with the Rollsizer, finally load them up on my 1100 using Dillon dies. Case gauge and roll.....My SV runs 100% this way.

Gents,
I just noticed, that when selecting barrel specs on their gun builder there's only 9*21 and 9*23 and .38's..
9mm major ain't available anymore in 9*19?...
Anybody has more info on this why? I thought they also sold 9*19 guns...
kr
CJust call. My current build says 9x21 on the sheet but is 9x19. They are building quite a few 9x19 right now!

This is starting to remind me of one of those books I read as a kid that has many different endings and you can choose which one you take. But they all end in death.

Yeah. $260 after shipping, tax and hazmat. I needed it to get me through next season. As long as I don't shoot more than 10k I'm good. BTW, they did finally sell out yesterday afternoon.
That’s a good purchase then. Thanks for the update

Wow. That is pricey.

I too have mags that were reserved for this gun. If I sell them it will be released as that’s how it goes with me. Lol

this statement. implies the product is ready . no boxes to put them in would be a reason for example.
I want to believe it’s something so trivial as I can feel the pain in their words. For instance, last year in the mountain biking industry there was a box shortage with lots of bikes in stock that could not be shipped. Now there are boxes and no bikes. Every day is a new challenge.

Are there any sensors with this Dillon autodrive?
There are several sensors coming soon. At this price point and add the Dillon sensors it will be more than a Mark 7 possibly.

That’s how I’m seeing it. Believe the couple of 2.0s that were passed around were 9mm. 2.0 38sc has the same 2 poppel holes as the 9mm gun, chaos 1.0 38sc had a longer slide port and 3 holes.Hmm. Good observation. I shot with a guy tonight who had a 1.0 and he didn’t have very complimentary things to say. The gun ran well though. He won’t be ordering a 2.0.

GULP.......$2400
Ouch. And then add more sensors. I thought her comment when she said she can get around 600 RPH manually was funny. I can do 1000 in an hour easily. I guess they wanted to make it sound like 2000 rounds per hour was a lot.

If it’s not available at Shot then this thing must be a goner.

Just about all open guns sit on the market for awhile. 9mm open guns seem to sit on the market and seem to sell for less than their 38 SC counterparts. I have watched SVI open guns sit on here for months. The reality is the market for open guns is small. Maybe the smallest sector of all guns sales. Also how many people are willing to gamble on buying an open gun. You have no idea what the actual round count is, if the gun was built properly to begin with and if the current user has any idea on how so load major ammo and maintain the gun. Atlas guns are not the only guns that have issues in the resale market when it comes to open guns.
Yes, they often sit for awhile. Everything you said about resale of 9mm versus 38sc especially on this forum is backwards…..at least based on my experience and watching the classifieds for years. If anyone knows me they know I have experience in selling shiny guns. Just can’t resist when they are up for sale. I would rather offload five 9mm major guns than one 38sc. I agree with everything else that you said.
