  1. Is it inside the house or in a garage or basement? If it's inside I think it's pretty safe to leave it unfinished. Mine is in my office and it's unfinished. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  2. Gun: CZ 75 SP01 Tactical Is it possible / how hard would it be to shorten the start position of the double action? My finger can barely reach it, and with my normal grip I can't get enough of my finger on the trigger to be very accurate. Can this be done without losing any reliability in the gun? Would a trigger job from the likes of Cajun Gun Works or similar do what I'm looking for? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  3. ULSC = Unload And Show ClearI totally agree with that. The point of that whole bit after you are done shooting is to verify you have anew empty gun. Just decocking doesn't do that. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  4. Edit: title should say "CZ" Is there absolutely any difference whatsoever in CZ 9mm and .40 mags? My mag's for my new sp01 in .40 say .40 with witness holes for 5, 10, and 12 rounds on the left side of the mag and 9mm with witness holes for 5, 10, and 17 rounds on the right side of the mag. Are .40 and 9mm mags identical? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  5. Interesting. I just bought an sp01 tactical with a decocker. It decocks to half cock. Will that be allowed for production?Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  6. You're probably right. Although I want to leave the spring heavy enough that factory ammo won't beat the gun to death.Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  7. Congratulations! Your 40 minor load in that big heavy steel gun is probably good feel like cheating! [emoji48] Yep. Already feels like cheating in my glock too. I'm thinking about switching to 165gn bullets though and bumping the powder a little bit. The brass comes out of the gun like a little old lady crossing the street.
  8. Thank for the advice everyone. I ended up buying an SP-01 in .40. I did have a laugh at the comically low round count in the magazine, but since I'll be shooting production it won't matter anyway. I already bought a 12lb recoil spring for my minor load and am looking at sights now.
  9. Thanks everyone for the advice. I bought an SP-01 Tactical in .40 I did laugh at the comically low round count in the magazine, but since I'm shooting production with it, it will only get 10 rounds anyway. Already bought a 12lb recoil spring for my minor load, and am looking at sights now.
  10. I agree. I'm making the Glock my limited gun. So I want a gun for production.Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  11. Never heard of Grand Power X-Calibur. Can you tell me about them a little bit? Are they Production legal? I really like the thought of a full metal frame this time, or you're right, the P09 would be a great choice. It seems like the full metal frame will add weight, and make the gun shoot softer. Would the P09 not need trigger work when the SP-01 does? The only upgrades I would put on any gun that I buy is competition sights and trigger work (if it needs it).
  12. I'm not wanting to go away from the glock, just thinking of making the glock a limited gun and buying a gun better suited for production.
  13. It's a gen 4. Has some trigger work done to lighten it to about 4lb and it has competition sights flat black fiber optic front.I'm not ready to sell it though if that's why you're asking... Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  14. Well, production requires DA/SA if the gun is hammer fired, and I already have a striker fired gun.Am more interested in getting that great light trigger of a single action gun (and the full Metal frame is great too), and I am OK with the first shot having to be double action to get it. 15. I'm thinking about buying a new gun for production division and the CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical in either 9mm or .40 caught my eye. Currently I shoot a Glock 35 in production with a nice minor load shooting Blue Bullets. Thoughts/opinions? I need to keep the base price of the gun under $800 so the CZ custom competition guns are out. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

  17. I'd say the downside right now is buying a PCC and then the provisional division would not be approved. I'm waiting until it's being shot in matches for a few months to buy mine.
  18. Didn't know you could do that... I wouldn't do that unless you are trying to get people pissed off at you. Even if it's legal to do, people will get frustrated especially at local matches.
  19. My minor load for my G35 is for the 180 gn Blue Bullet, 3.2 gn Titegroup at 1.135 oal. I would guess for the 165's you'd want to bump the powder up a couple of tenths to make minor. What gun are you shooting? If it is a 1911/2011 I've heard pushing the OAL to 1.17 or 1.18 makes it more reliable. You'll need a bit more powder if you do lengthen the OAL. 21. I wouldn't edc my glock 35, but only because I've lightened the trigger enough to make it picky on which primers it likes. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  22. Don't use those pouches I linked then, they are double stack pouches. Uncle Mike's makes single stack pouches too though. probably same price.
  23. Belt ($38) Pouches ($17) I use both of these. They've worked great. You'll want to upgrade the pouches to some nice competition ones later but these will be fine for a looooong time.
