I chrono'ed HS6 ammo that was ~131pf. I first thought, wow this is different. Then I shot a few practice drills with it and realized I didn't like it. I'm probably gonna stick to sport pistol or N320 with 115s or 124s.

So I’ve been using all my old MPX ammo which is 115fmj @ 140pf. I put a 70 locker in my JP5 and it feels pretty good I guess. That’s such a subjective thing is how it feels…. I tried my CO 130pf 147s with 80 locker and it felt good but sluggish. Is it really sluggish? Idk. I’ve always preferred the quick snap recoil impulse I did load up some 115s with HS6 and potentially may try some N350. I have major pf powders so I might as well try them. I did the same with my MPX so might as well with this. At some point I plan on doing a review between the 2 platforms.

I feel like nobody knows but I’ll just go ahead and say it doesn’t exist. Why would anyone want that?

I put a Geissele SD3G trigger in. I also had to replace the factory safety as it didn’t work with the SD3G trigger. I put a battlearms development 60 degree safety in. The factory trigger pins requires a T10 torx and heat to remove the retention screws. It was fun taking a torch to my brand new gun…. I also replaced the factory retention pins with rise armament retention pins. I tried normal pins and the hammer pin kept popping out

I am doing what Max has suggested so far. I have probably 100lbs of N320 and Sport Pistol so ill stick with those for now

so far I'm liking the JP5. It's very different from my MPX, but fortunately I havent been shooting much lately so its like relearning pcc all over again!

Now that I have both MPX and JP5, I'd say the MPX is a great gun for the cost. that being said, does anyone wanna buy one of my MPX'?! Gotta pay for this JP5 somehow LOL

I dont have a magic secret tho. I just clean the thing... Back to the original topic of optics, I wouldnt mind trying out the holosun competition optic they released at shot. im sure itll come out in 12 months kinda like the eflx.

I truly wanna go and just have fun! I'm pretty much in the same exact boat. Been shooting pistols lately since that's how I got into uspsa to begin with. I have lost a ton of skillz with them so it's been humbling trying to get back up to my M level. Nobody forces me to live where I do, but family is a huge reason I stay. Work too.. At some point, maybe I'll do a comparison between the 2. Let's just say I'm exploring my options. There is something to be said about having a less complex PCC. 10 mins of cleaning vs 60+ mins

I feel like with the lack of shooting im doing, I wont be much of a challenge for you southerners who can actually go outside

Folding stocks are pointless on competition guns. I wanted my pcc to feel like my other rifles.

My MPX' mod list Hiperfire eclipse TTI buffer tube conversion with Geissele tube Hogue Overmold stock Magpul K2 grip Radian Raptor charging handle optics... Otherwise, my MPX' are internally stock. Keep the gas system clean. A clean gun is a reliable gun.... I've found that once you modify the internals, issues start happening. To the original question, I'd agree with Tony that muzzle devices basically don't do anything other than deflect noise back. The MPX is an amazing shooting PCC and I'd think it would be tough to improve with mods. I'd say the better thing to try and achieve is 100% reliability. Ammo being used will help or ruin that percentage.

I have 8 DPPs. I’ve definitely sent some back for service for the tape issue crap. But on the same note, my oldest DPP from 2017 has never had any issues. It’s been on open guns, CO guns, PCCs and never failed.
