  1. No thanks. Sounds like a waste of time.
  2. Tough call. I'd say both are great platforms. I'd prefer the JP5 due to ease of maintenance compared to the MPX.
  3. My setup is; Geissele SD3G BAD 60° ambi safety 80 locker JP SCS 308 red buffer spring 115gr RN @ ~136pf I don’t have any time behind a blowback to compare with. It shoots very similar to my MPX’
  4. I bought the spare parts kit and a firing pin. I haven’t used anything
  5. I used my offset yesterday ironically. I almost never use mine either
  6. I can’t wait for Holosun 507 Comp green dot is released. Altho my offset will still be a DPP
  7. Put on the Brekke carbon handguard. I’ll sell you mine. I originally bought it to make an identical copy of the Max Leograndis’ gun. But once I got mine I didn’t see the point as the gun is too light in my opinion
  8. My MPX was just shy of 10lbs when fully loaded!
  9. I was debating on doing the same s#!t to my MPX. Got quotes. Put parts in carts to buy. I decided the 4-5oz I’d save isn’t with the hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Spend the $$ on ammo and practice. It’s the Indian not the arrow that matters. Is that hate speech?!
  10. If it makes you all feel better, hot brass gets caught in my elbow of my right arm sometimes. The MPX would eject into my forearm. Stupid lefty
  11. You swapped the spring in the JP5 scs? Which color did you use?
  12. In that case, use what you got. Upgrade if you feel it’s hindering you
  13. ^ this. I stopped using coated bullets and use Everglades plated V2 115s. They’re on sale right now!
  14. Since nobody replied I'd guess the answer is no. I don't follow those style dots as they're not really "competition style". What I mean by that is, why limit your field of view through a dot window with something like that whereas maybe a Holosun 510 has a much larger window. That being said, I run a DPP for primary and offset dot both zeroed at 25 yards. I can't wait for the Holosun 507COMP green dot!
  15. I still think the MPX is a softer/flatter shooter is my take away.. but I’ve also learned that what I may like for felt recoil impulse is different from others. I do NOT understand why anyone would shoot 147s out of any PCC. Just the worse recoil impulse. Slow/clunky. But that’s just my opinion.
  16. It’s less maintenance. Weights a lot less. Felt recoil is basically the same with different buffer spring and tuned ammo in JP5. At some point when I feel like writing a bunch of bs down I was gonna do a write up comparing the 2 as I feel I have a good opinion. I think most will be surprised on my thoughts.. maybe not tho
  17. I have found Sport Pistol to be the best powder I’ve used. Altho I’m officially out of the MPX platform.
  18. I’ve never had that in any of my MPX’. I’d say throw the Gen2 (3 coil) back in with a donut. See how that runs. Have you had extraction issues?
  19. I have switched back to an 80 locker and put in the AR10 red/blue spring. I had the red/yellow spring in but had a malf. Coulda been cuz I switched to JHPs to test.
  20. I chrono'ed HS6 ammo that was ~131pf. I first thought, wow this is different. Then I shot a few practice drills with it and realized I didn't like it. I'm probably gonna stick to sport pistol or N320 with 115s or 124s.
  21. So I’ve been using all my old MPX ammo which is 115fmj @ 140pf. I put a 70 locker in my JP5 and it feels pretty good I guess. That’s such a subjective thing is how it feels…. I tried my CO 130pf 147s with 80 locker and it felt good but sluggish. Is it really sluggish? Idk. I’ve always preferred the quick snap recoil impulse I did load up some 115s with HS6 and potentially may try some N350. I have major pf powders so I might as well try them. I did the same with my MPX so might as well with this. At some point I plan on doing a review between the 2 platforms.
  22. I feel like nobody knows but I’ll just go ahead and say it doesn’t exist. Why would anyone want that?
