Power mags and the kimpro tac mags

I picked up a used spartan recently and just now got out to the range. I love it but there is one issue. Sometimes the last round will be left sitting on top of the mag when the slide locks back. The brass is mangled at the mouth. It only does it sometimes, not always, only the last round and it's not mag specific. Any ideas?

So I am setting up a Rem 1100 for the not so offten 3gun/shotgun matches. I ordered a competition master carrier from midway and can't find any video or instructions on replacing it. I know someone here has done it and can coach me through it.

Yep, I got it used from a fellow USPSA shooter. 80 series parts are gone, trigger job done and mags have Dawson bases on them. I've thought about just ordering the egw extractor to have on hand in case the power extractor craps out also may fit an oversize firing pin stop with less of a radius similar to my 45's

Well I went with a para 16-40 todd jarrett model. Didn't want to go with a 35 because I love 1911's. I'm loving my para. One day I may (will) get a 2011 but right now the para fills the role

Will the mec-gar p16 mags work with Dawson base pads. I swear I read or heard that the mag bodies were a little shorter than paras.
