  1. How much does weight savings mean to you guys? Seems like more and more are trying to put their guns on a Jenny Craig Diet, are you guys shooting IDPA, maybe carry optics? Interested to hear your reasoning......
  2. So the interesting thing we have found out about SF guns and BOLO's are the following- Most SF guns will accept BOLO's with minor to no fitting just like their LF counterparts. However there are i believe two guns that needed extensive fitting (material removal) in order to get them to function properly. One of these SF stock II's was JJ's and i believe was one of the first Stock II's to even be imported.
  3. i dont have enough experience with the small frame guns to say for sure if it will work. I guess i should start looking for one so we're sure to have our international friends setup for success as well.
  4. Units are in production, i would expect to have these back from heat treat by the end of next week so stay tuned......
  5. We appreciate y'alls support, please see below link for details.
  6. making a few more tweaks.... i would expect us to be up on production this time next week
  7. As nice as it is to have the canik trigger pin it will induce some play into the trigger when using the BOLO. Just know that you will not have a zero pre-travel SA if using that.
  8. There's actually a lot more that goes into this question than just how often folks change their springs out. For instance since we're just talking about the recoil spring in this thread power factor plays a major component as it it determines how far/fast the spring is compressed to its yield point. As with anything; springs will fatigue and fail overtime. Its been my personal experience to change out all the springs in my guns every 5,000-7,000 rounds. One physical phenomenon with metals is that at stress below the yield strength of the material, a very slow plastic deformation takes place. In the spring world this is called "creep" when a spring under constant load loose length. Its called relaxation when a spring under constant compression lose load. How much creep/relaxation really depends on the temperature, the stress in the metal, the metals yield strength and the time. Increased temperature, stress and time also increase the creep/relaxation. Especially the temperature and stress have a big influence on your springs overall lifespan. Some folks shoot so much there guns heat up pretty good and since metal conducts heat you can bet there springs have increased in temperature as well. In the end springs are cheap and should be part of your routine maintenance of your firearm, especially if your gun goes down at a major match due to a failed spring due to its life being exceeded. We have some of our first hammer springs that have over 25K cycles on them, and although they haven't failed i can say there about 3 full coils shorter than a new out of the bag spring. These springs are obviously not providing there advertised spring rate anymore at this condition.
  9. It's all about that positive reset...... "Click"
  10. Only thing I see that may be an issue is the Henning plunger spring. Some guns do not like that installed with the BOLO and will give you a short stroke on the DA pull, going back to the factory spring will cure that issue and give a more positive reset as well.
  11. 2017 is coming faster than we think and its that time of the year to bring on new shooters for our 2017 season. Clink link below to our vendor page for details.
  12. BOLO will have no impact on the safety/sear fitment... What all got replaced during BOLO install and what parts are being used?
  13. His gun is properly tuned..... He's polished everything inside and out, he's had his chamber reamed to SAAMI spec or based off his particular load, Titan Hammer, Xtreme Sear, Patriot Defense Springs, Exteneded FPB, Patriot Defense Firing Pin/Factory Firing Pin, and he takes advise and is willing to listen when problems come up. There is no set standard setup for these guns, you have to be willing to try new things if you want the most out of your pistol. I cant tell you how many guns we have seen that vary so much in finally pull weights with the same parts and components installed. John is extremely OCD when it comes to his polishing, all pins, and even the insides of springs get polished.
  14. Its in enough of a bind that it doesn't allow the FPB to release the FP and you in up literally "hammering" it through the FPB. I now know why they leave that slop in there so the FP more or less floats to the rear of the FPB channel..... It was my fault in the design, just trying to tighten things up a bit.
  15. Ill let John give a more in depth of what he's seen so far, but we are making a few small changes to the design. I tried to take up some of the slack in how much the FP moved before being stopped by the FPB..... Well that caused a slight timing issue with how the FP is released occasionally seeing a light strike in DA. Also tweaking some other areas of the pin as well so its "optimized" for your shooting pleasure. We're still seeing an average of 2-3" increase in vertical launch in DA, and about 3-4" in SA
  16. Still haven't provided us with any details on your gun or information pertaining to your load..... We're here to help but we need you to give us more information than "primers seated deep"......
  17. ShortBus, as you can see there is a ton of information here on Enos regarding how to PROPERLY set your pistol up to function reliable. As everyone knows we are also readily available and will help out anyway we can for our customers. The below is not an attack on you personally but more or less a brief teaching on spring rate and your lack of information given originally about your gun; seems you where focused more on how disappointed you where in our product than actually receiving help on your issue. As pointed out above it sounds like you have other factors playing into your issue that your so quick to blame the spring. First off overall spring length doesn't mean anything when it comes to spring rate!!!! That's just one factor that plays into the formula..... Wire diameter, wire material, coil count, and overall length make up a spring's rate. So it's possible that your "cut up" 14lb Wolff still had a higher spring rate than our 12lb hammer spring. A double strike as indicated above can be poor primer seating depth, short/tight chamber, and or lack of adequate spring rate on the hammer. With out you telling us exactly how your gun is setup and jumping so quickly to blaming our product it's hard to help you diagnose and properly fix whatever issue the Wolff spring was covering up. Polishing plays a huge part in these guns ability to run reliable and dictates what spring you can run in these guns based on your primer and if you truly have that load dialed in perfect for your gun. A few questions on your ammo- do you hand load? What's your OAL? Does it pass the plunk test and fall out freely? Can you spin the round freely during a plunk test? What depth are your primers seating at? Jumping from a 14lb Wolff to a 12lb PD spring is a rather large jump in hammer spring as well. We recommend most guys go down 1lb at a time rather than jumping to our second lowest spring rate hammer spring. We only would recommend a 12lb hammer spring (CCI primers) to somebody we know has a top notch polishing job with the Titan hammer, Xtreme sear, factory firing pin, our firing pin spring, properly tuned gun, and proper ammo. With all that said if you would please list what exactly is done to your gun and what parts installed we'll get you headed in the right direction on getting your gun 100%. Thanks!
  18. Currently bidding on a section of Unobtainium on eBay, this may however drive the price of the pins up slightly.....
  19. Experimented with tungsten, it's a pain to machine and even though it's a lot more dense material than standard carbon steel it's rather brittle. I know it blocks with a extended FPB, Xtreme sear, and Titan hammer. I'll try a bone stock application tomorrow..... I don't see why it wouldn't work remember this stuff is Tanfoglio "Optimized" ?
  20. So far seeing an additional 3-4" of vertical launch than any other combination of firing pins with our new extended heavier firing pin installed
  21. Price will be below $40, still finalizing a finish for them that won't require you guys to buff and polish them. Looking like within two weeks time we'll have the first batch complete...... ? Or sooner if I sleep at the shop.
  22. Finally had time to run a few firing pins in different weight configurations. These will be extended and heavier to help the Tanfo light off even more primers with lighter springs.
