I use KKM barrels, and they cut the threads to .575X40 for me, just give them a call.

TK has good parts, I have the extended firing pin and bobbed hammer in my 929, both are quality. The folks on the revolver forum have a lot of knowledge and are a great help. Everyone here is also a wealth of knowledge.

It has me stumped also. I figured out the reason the blast shield wouldn't mount, the tabs are missing, trying to correct that.

After I copied this picture from a website, I can actually see the tabs on the blast shield that are missing from mine. Back to the distributer! Have any idea what the curved piece is for? Thanks for your reply.

Just got the Guga Ribas cover kit for my 22/47 w5c-more slideride. The sunshade is a no brainer, but the blast shied and whatever the other part is, I have no brains on how they fit to the c-more. Of course, no instructions, and haven't found anything on you tube. Help will be appreciated

Yep, I got it wrong, Armscor, either way, my guns don't like it.

My guns will shoot both with the same extractor, but I use SC brass, Star Line. The SC brass stacks better, and get another round or two in the mag. There are many different manufacturers of SC brass, try them all if you need to, my guns hate Arms Corp SC brass.

+1 for RJH, these springs are also made in reduced tension.

Thank you both, first time doing a comp, I figured that a barrel fitting jig will work, but may make a slide fixture for this purpose.
-
I want to Tri-Top tm slide, but how do I fixture it and get the compensator at the same time? I have a slide fixture that I have used in the past, but it's not machined for the barrel, any help will be appreciated.

I use 147s, 38/357 BB, very accurate through mu 929.

125 HAP
10.2 gr AA#7

I use Tripp 10mm mags, they also work with the Dawson magwell.

If the Caspian was built right, it will be a shooter. I have 2 and am building a third, I like the smaller grip. MBX mags work, no questions. I have also modified Tangfo large frame mags, and they work, but favor the MBX. Big issue is if the frame is one of the early versions, larger openings cut in the frame under the grip panels, the newer has 2 holes on each side. The frame could crack on the front strap about mag release high on older version.

I've been using the V5 for 2 years now, no issues, knock on wood. Very happy. But contact C-More they'll take care of you.

Good luck, I've been shooting open and limited for years with no issues on primer depth, but these revolvers are a different breed.
-
What brass are you using? I use Winchester, but found that if I didn't ream the primer pockets(new or used), I would not be able to get the primers to seat correctly. It's an extra step to the reload process that I don't do for any other pistols, but has made life so much more enjoyable while shooting my 929. Good thing is, you wont have to do that process until the cases fail.

I will give their site a once over for info, but get the feeling I'll have to wait until the shooting starts to see what I want. Thanks

I'm considering poople holes in my next build. Am shooting 38 SC 125 gr, slide should be around 10.5 to 11 oz. How far from the end of the barrel would be an approximate distance to place them? using a cone comp. Everything I've read suggests two 3/16" dia holes. Any help will be appreciated.

Rule book at uspsa.org, I'm not a big SS shooter, but it depends on how good a shooter you are. If you are accurate and fast, 9mm is probably the way to go, get the extra rounds, less recoil, otherwise 40 and above, the scoring is better. If you use 40, you can load for both minor and major power factor.

There is no difference, can't find either

Okay, don't beat me up to bad, anyone have any experience with the Charles Daly 9mm Field Grade? For the price, it would be a great learning tool for someone to get their fingers wet in gunsmithing. I'm considering purchasing one to play with checkering and barrel work. I saw one at a LBS, it has a ramped barrel, don't know which, but I was surprised. 450 is tough to beat.

ysrracer, what type of cylinder release is that?

Turn it off after the shoot, and replace the battery every season, you've got a nice pistol, and a lot of pricy accessories, so a couple of bucks a year for a battery shouldn't hurt. I have two Ruger's set-up almost identical to yours, never had a problem during a season.
