    TS recoil spring

Plain TS 9mm factory spring is 15 lb, TS Orange is 14 lb and TS CM is 10 lb. Also CZ after market 11 and 13 lb factory springs are available. The 11 lb is not recommended by the factory for TS, but it still works fine.
  2. It sounds logical, but I've some doubts. I've measured several springs. According to my findings all CZ recoil springs are made from ø1.0 mm (0.039") and ø1.1 mm (0.043") wires. Coil winding will deform wire diameter and some variation from nominal diameter can be seen in final product. It is easy for manufacturing and logistics to have only two source materials. The different weights are made with other parameters like outside diameter (ø8.8-9.7 mm), free length (115-143 mm) and number of effective coils (27-34). To recognize unmarked springs later take note of the outside diameter and number of coils when purchasing.

10-15 lb is ok. I prefer 11 lb. Don't cut coils or the closing force decreases.
  4. Why not try it yourself? Mec-Gar uses same springs in 17rd and 19rd magazines. I've used Mec-Gar 17rd with CZC +4 base pad without any problems.
  5. Don't push the magazine release too hard.
  6. CZ locking plates fit into Mec-Gar magazine tubes, but then you need also CZ compatible base pad. You can't use CZ locking plates with Mec-Gar base pads.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

CZ 75 Shadow and CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow are different guns. There is a lot of different CZ 75 models from CZ UB, CZ USA and CZC. One got to be careful with the names. CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Australia is on the list. It is an approved longer barrel version (SP-01A). A is for Australia.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

CZC says for CZ 75 Shadow Custom "Re profile and Polish Disconnector and associated surfaces." Polishing is no-no in production.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

Yes and yes in IPSC production division.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

It is not only the Custom model missing from the list. Also the CZ 75 Shadow is missing. You can use a CZ 75 frame and a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow slide to make a similar gun. It would have "CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow" stamped on the slide, so this would be its name. This name is on the list, so that part is ok. Unfortunately CZ 75 frames are not available as OFM standard equipment or option. The IPSC production division rule D4 16. would not be met.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

If the name of the gun is not on the list, it is not approved. CZ Custom shop variants are especially not approved.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

IPSC doesn't show weights on the production list. CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow 2012 was approved in 2012, but when CZ UB renamed it in 2013 to CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Orange it wasn't anymore. It took some time and mails to get it's name changed also on the list. Because neither "2012" nor "Orange" was stamped on the slide, all this was based only on marketing material. In this case Mr. Pinto said: USPSA might be more flexible.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

The names need to match pretty exactly. CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow is approved, but CZ 75 Shadow is not. They are different guns. It took same time to get CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Orange listed and it is the same gun with the same text on slide as CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

You can use parts from listed guns, but also the name of your creation must be on the list. CZ 75 Shadow and CZ 75 Shadow Custom are not listed. I think you should ask Vince Pinto's opinion at Global Village to make it officially approved.

    SP-01 Shadow Orange

Actually Shadow Custom is, ACCU and Target are not. Shadow Custom is not on IPSC Production Division List, so it is not approved. CZ Custom Shop models are especially not approved .
  16. Are you having a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Target 2? CZ Shadow 2 is a different gun. It is not even shipping yet.
  17. Look for Lucky Delta in Austria (www.luckydelta.com).
  18. Arredondo is plastic and not very durable. Using it in normal way you can't get it any further forward than CZ thumb rest. Flipping it 180 degrees puts the rest and support hand too low.

    CZ TS Orange

Thanks for the pics. Have you actually removed the thumb rest? To my eye's the gap filling part could also be a separate one. If not you can put washers under it and then flip it 180 degrees. Not pretty for sure, but functional.
  20. The first batch is estimated to arrive shops in Europe in May or June (this year )

    CZ TS Orange

Flip the tumb rest 180 degrees for longer fingers. There is also 3 new thumb rests coming from CZUB. See catalog 2016 page 90 items 14-16 (http://www.czub.cz/produktovy_katalog_en/files/assets/common/downloads/page0047.pdf )
  22. So they ripped me or maybe they pamper US customers?
  23. It is a kind of tradition. CZ has got barrel lengths wrong for years. I think it is close enough .
