  1. I'm currently trying out a Stock II for CO, switching over from a P320. I'm looking at magazine pouches. I'm experimenting with MBX and Mec Gar with an extension magazines. I've always used bullets out. What magazine pouches do you like? I have Ghost 360s set up for P320s and DAA Racers set up for 2011s. The length front-to-back of the Tanfo mags makes it a bit of a hard fit in the Ghost 360s. On that note, how about magnet pouches? Any favorites there?
  2. Are there any interference issues with the optic mount and the slide lock thumb rest? How about the aftermarket options like the Nitro Fin or the Atlas version?
  3. Hey everybody. Quick background: 31 y.o., good health, still very new to the sport. I run/lift pretty regularly, and used to play a lot more sports. About 15 months ago, I injured my left trap muscle when I thought I was still 25 and could do 2 hours of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after not rolling regularly for a few years... and now my shoulder knots up very easily. I went to the PT and it seemed to resolve itself, but I've found that when I'm rolling my elbows up to try to put pressure on a pistol, after a match or a training session my shoulder is in knots. Any ideas on prevention or care from anybody who's had to deal with a similar issue?

    P320 X5 Thread

I might have missed it, do we have weight/MSRP on the X-5?
  5. Bump. Does this one put less torque on the connection than the Racer/Race Master?
  6. And for what it's worth, I've been applying purple (low strength, lower than blue) Loctite on my screws.
  7. One of the problems I've had with my Race Master is that under the weight of a pistol and the NC heat, the set screws would work themselves loose as I walk around a match. How secure are the connections for this holster?
  8. Seems like if I clock it there it's nestled in the web between my thumb and forefinger of my left hand. It's also in the way of any weak hand shooting I'd do. The paddle rides directly under the knuckle when I grip it with my left hand. Do you find it interferes with your weak hand only strings? I guess that's one way to keep myself from overinserting my trigger finger...
  9. Can't quite picture it - what does the JB Weld do for you?
  10. On Saturday I had one of those stages from hell. Drew, fired my first shot, and my magazine falls out of my pistol. And it continued the rest of the stage - I had to pick my last magazine off of the ground several times, and ran out of ammo before the last two targets were engaged. I had put a new Limcat extended mag release on my gun, and it was clearly getting actuated after recoil. After the stage, I removed the mag catch from my pistol and finished the match without any issues other than improperly seating one magazine. I had purchased the extended mag release because my original one, a round Dawson release, fell off at the match the week before. I hadn't had time to test out my gear before the match this past Saturday. I threw an empty magazine in and everything seemed good. Today testing the paddle out, I can find that with a near-full magazine, if I shift my hands just so I can release the magazine. Should I switch back the Dawson-style round release, or is there an extended paddle that works? I don't have huge hands - just under 8.5" circumference and I wear M/size 7 gloves.
  11. Update: went to my local bicycle shop and found several of those type of screws since they're most often used to hold water bottle holders to bike frames. They let me have them for free out of their spare screw drawer. They clear the spacer with ease, and don't interfere with the tension wheel. Now to figure out where I can find purple Loctite...
  12. I'd want button head screws in order to keep more even and distributed pressure on the mag pouch itself. The countersunk-style screws I don't feel get enough pressure to keep the pouch tight against the belt attachment. In that case I'm thinking something like this would work. I'd want to at least be able to adjust tension since with bullets out moving the CG of a loaded magazine further out from you I'd want a bit more retention. https://www.amazon.com/Bolts-M5-12mm-Stainless-Accessories/dp/B01531NBEM/ I'm concerned that the screw head is too "thick" and will impact the underside of the spacer, but that's a much easier fix with a bit of sandpaper while watching Netflix.
  13. I got mine in from Midway this week, and I ran into the same problem. Midway hasn't had many in stock so I would assume they're pretty fresh stock. Just emailed DAA... was about to order some M5 screws from Amazon and possibly have to sand down some.
  14. Ferrari's latest supercar, the Laferrari, is a hybrid, actually. I've driven it and at low speed on electric only it's unnerving.
  15. What's the recoil spring setup? Still a captured one like the rest of the P320 line?
  16. Yeah, no kidding. As much as I like the P320F I shoot, it sounds like the Target's fixed every little thing I didn't like (aside from maybe the rear sight...)
  17. How does the Target's grip texture compare to the standard full size?
  18. Take the tubes apart and look, more like feel for any slight burrs. I bet there is a slight burr you need to polish out with some 400-600 sand paper. I use a shot of PB Blaster Dry Lube in the tube, just a quick blast in the tube. I have the stock follower with 2 5 rd tubes together and the Shooter's source HD spring. Never gives me a bit of trouble. Feels more like it's just a narrower diameter, kind of like a forcing cone or something. I took it apart and both with my fingers and visually there's no burrs. The follower slides down the tube, both the extension and the factory, with no drag until it gets to the threaded section.
  19. After playing around with it a bit last night, I've noticed that the follower does drag a bit right where the threads on the tube right past the forearm are. Does anybody else's do this? Should I put some graphite here or hit it with some 1000 grit or something?
  20. Sorry for a bit of thread hijacking. I've got a +5 Nordic & spring on an otherwise almost stock (polished the shell latch a bit) 1301. Haven't been doing much practice lately due to some outside circumstances and I noticed that the follower seems to be binding when there's 6-8 shells left in the tube. The spring's still pretty new, though it has sat for a few months. A good whack seems to un-bind the follower. Is it an issue that needs to be solved via a new spring and/or a low drag follower? If it goes away under recoil, should I count it as "good enough" for now?
  21. And now I'm one spot closer....sweet!!Good for you I'm getting a Custom gun that will out shoot the production dvc that they can't even get out Lol.. GOOD LUCK!! For $2k more it better... $2k more? I'm not paying 2k more. Same price as the dvc with 4 tuned mags that is if u bought 4 tuned mags with the dvc Atlas' website is listing their pistols for around $4500.

  23. OK, I think I know what happened. Happened to me the other week while unloading it from practice loads, and it ended up with the shotgun closing on my finger and now I've got a black and blue nail! Went and played around with my dummies to try to confirm my theory. The shell isn't fully dropping onto the lifter from the tube. It's out of the mag tube, past the latch, but getting hung up somewhere (my guess is that the latch is dragging on the shell body at this point and stopping it). The interrupter is still locking the bolt back since the rim of the shell isn't hitting the interrupter and swinging it out of the way. You can't hit the bolt release on the long end of the tab since it's already in the released position, but if you rock it back you might fix things (or you might drop 1.5 shells onto the lifter and cause a serious jam!) If you jostle the shell onto the latch like you did when you mortared it, it should let the released shell onto the lifter and let the interrupter work as designed. Also if you decide to clear your jam by reaching in through the ejection port and putting the shell back in the tube... all I can say is "don't" because things will hurt when the interrupter gets knocked loose and the bolt closes on your finger... and you have to hit the shell release and put a shell on the lifter again in order to get the shotgun to shoot! I'd check the mag spring, clean the tube, and get a low drag follower if you're worried about it reoccurring.
  24. Do you remember if there was any play in the bolt release when it was jammed? I'd take another look at the shell catch and see if it's developed a burr, or if the shell had one.

    Sig P320

I'm assuming it lessens the perceived trigger pull weight since you have a bit more mechanical leverage. My only flat face trigger right now is a Hiperfire on an AR. Might be worth it if you use one as a 3 gun pistol. Plus all the cool kids are doing it and putting it on the interwebs.
