i purchased a new 9mm ez shield for my wife the other day, took it to the range today and had quite a few slide hang ups, did not try the other mag yet, but what it seems to be doing when i watch my wife shoot it, the slide almost stays back after the shot, seems to be a delay like for a second then i will close, and and also there are times when there are rounds in the mag the slide will go back and go into slide lock, have to pull the slide and it will close, going to try the other mag tomorrow, also if my wife was limp wristing, what would help to sort or remedy here a 115gr bullet or the 147gr chet

my wife has a few 9mm semi pistols, we use to hit the range quite frequent, then 1 1/2 yrs ago she had cancer and had to have a hysterectomy, so far she is doing average.neuropathy is giving some issues now, lost some strength in her hands, which presents a problem for her to rack the slide, so today i bought her a new Smith & Wesson 9mm MP EZ slide, she can handle it good, question i have is, she has a Walthers PPQ in 9mm and a Kimber 45acp custom target pistol, can i put a lighter spring in either of these guns so that she can rack them, will it damage the gun using regular target loads. any other way out so she can shoot these 2 pistols or am i SOL chet

I have to agree what Brewski said, I picked up a new Dan Wesson a few weeks ago. and i am working on different loads for my shadow 2, shadow 2 is sort of fussy on loads, but those loads are set to chamber in the PM9, they all shoot good, gun will shoot anything so far and VERY accurate. chet

guy at the range shooting a Q 5 plastic lower, not the steel one, he was shooting at 20yds and i was down a few shooting 20yds also, i offered him to try my Canik, he cried twice, he was there with a TP9 SFX the following week. he does shoot it better, it will shoot every bit as good or better as the Q 5 and the Sig pro x 5 also. my Canik is not ammo fussy like my Shadow 2, they shoot close now since i put a scope on my shadow, chet

i was shooting at the range yesterday, i was shooting off of my rest doing some load testing, this guy comes along and was shooting a newer P 210 in 9mm and had an older one made in Germany, he asked i would shoot them off my rest and see how they group, i was shooting my shadow 2 and my new Dan Wesson PM9, i tried a few different loads with both the P 210"s the one made in Germany grouped much better than the one made in the states, he was so happy when he saw the group the P210 made in Germany shot, he cut the target out and took it with him. he did say they were rather expensive vs the one made in the states. never shot either gun, the group probably was the best i shot this summer, chet

hi Pat i wish i could hold that steady, i try every now and then, but i average better groups with some type of rest. chet

i am shooting at 20yds for getting my best loads off of a rest, i have 2 rest. one is a v formed pc of wood , i used 1/8" thk felt and covered it with leather, the other is a leather sandbag i rest the gun on, from experienced shooters. would one be preferred over the other. chet

just a thought, a Canik TP9SFX, my glocks cannot shoot near as good, and that are priced right. and accurate edging out my shadow 2 on paper at 25yds. just a thought chet

i do have some glocks, they are easier to aim, and the best is the walthers ppq

i have the new shadow 2, i am having a problem lining up the sight, when i normally aim with this pistol i am constantly struggling to get the front sight down to line up with the rear sight, looking for some suggestions to help. would a different set of grips do anything here. chet

I have to give those test pistol test shooters a lot of credit, when i read the articles on pistols they test and show ammo and groups at 25yds, they are excellent shooters, i would love to have these guys shoot some of my 9mm. especially my Shadow 2 chet

hi NSO i am using a modded lee bullet seater, it is spring loaded like some rifle dies, the moment the bullet contacts the seater is starts centering. gonna look into the crimp station, but would it happen on 2 presses, we will find out. and one thing i did not do is measure the bullets. chet

shooter i tried more flare, up to .390 dia as Dillon suggested, bullet seater is custom made for the contour of the bullet. i even modded a dillon powder funnel diameter to .354 dia, chet

i have been using some coated bullets recently from a well known bullet company, i noticed that during my loading on either the lee loadmaster or the dillon i am seeing lead shavings, this does not happen with example SNS, i want to try other brands, i am reading good things about the coatings on the precision and Jame's bullets, curious if anyone had any issues loading these brands or how they shoot chet

HI Gene mount will only be used for load testing at the range. chet

i was looking at the Precision 147 flat point bullet, by the looks of it, it looks like it needs to be deeper in the case to pass the plunk test. i like their idea they are claiming for their new coating, are they worth a try. chet
