    p320 feed issue

i have a new p320 full size, was out shooting it today, the problem i was having was when i put the mag in a close the slide the first round wont feed. the load was a 124 gr extreme plated FP bullet. the oal is1.100 i have no issues with extreme 124gr RN bullet at a oal of 1.148 i was thinking of trying the shorten the FP load to 1.050 to see if that would help, any thoughts Chet ps after i get the first round to feed it performs ok with the remaing rounds
  3. been loading mostly coated 9mm 135 and 147 bullets from SNS with no lube groove, anyone else have coated bullets with no groove in the weights i shoot Chet
  4. thanks Alma i just had the feeling an aftermarket 6" barrel would enhance accuracy over the other guns mentioned. ok the glock 17 is out with the 6" barrel. well cost is a factor trying to stay in the 650max range Chet
  5. i am going to sell my 9mm beretta 92fs. ,have a chance to pick up a used gen 3 glock 17 at a steal, and put an aftermarket 6" barrel on it,and still be under 500.00 any thoughts on which would be a more accurate target shooter how would this do for target for example as the witness model or some others that were mentioned chet
  6. HMM ! are you shooting professionally or related to Rob Leatham, that is some great great shooting, will look at that gun, does it have many mods other than grip tape Chet
  7. presently i have 3 automatic 9mm, i want to get one more and possibly sell one, let me say what i have now, a like new Berreta 92FS purchased 20yrs ago, a Ruger SR9C about 3 mos old and a new Glock 17 gen 4 about a month old mainly i do target shooting, looking to see if i can step up i accuracy, i haven't shot the 92FS in 20yrs, been only shooting Ruger and the Glock i am shooting the Glock a tad better at the moment, so i went to the local gun shop looking, the owner shows me 3 9mm's the Walters PPQ, Walthers PPx and the H&K VP9, i have been hearing good things on the Walthers, but then i picked up the PPQ i noticed there was slop when i grabbed the muzzle end side to side neither my Glock or my Ruger has any, so the Walthers turned me off on looking any further, the H&K VP9 was tighter. would these guns be considered moving up or going backwards on what i have now, i noticed all 3 of the guns i looked at today seem to have a high feeling like what i am saying the center of the barrel seems higher from the grip compared the Ruger and the Glock, would this be a issue with muzzle flip to get back on target as compared to the lower profile gun, any input would be appreciated, if none of these choices would be an improvement over what i have now, suggest something other i can look into, my next choice was going to be a CZ75. Chet
  8. maybe someone could give me some ideas here my Glock 17 gen 4 is shooting the 135 coated rn bullet with 4grs of W231, well i am out of W231 that i had from 20yrs ago, what powders and charge would be worth a try, the w231 load was very accurate, powders i have on hand is Solo 1000, Titegroup, Unique, Power Pistol , Bullseye and red dot thanks Chet
  9. i installed the glock elite evo on my gen 4 glock 17 yesterday, , freezing here in PA. but had to get the Glock out and shoot 50 rnds thru it, this is my evaulation, see what your take is, trigger is much better, not too thrilled about the pre travel, but i am not sure what i noticed on one of the shots during my 50 rnd test, there was one shot where there was a lag like maybe the trigger resetting of some sort, cant put my finger on it, thought it might have been a light load, of the 50 rnds i was shooting there was 4 or 5 different loads, i was thinking i might have to take another .005 off the tab that i had to fit, but not sure. it works slick when i try it in the basement, i did not try rapid fire, but i had my ruger sr9c with me and i felt the ruger would shoot off rounds quicker, now my wifes ruger lc9s is very fast, maybe due to the shorter cycle or less mass weight. , are these glocks supposed to be a fast cycling gun to start with, never fired a glock before. this is my first glock and only have maybe 150 rnds thru it, i did not change the fp spring yet still have the stock one in it. any thoughts, i was shooting mainly the extreme plated 124 RN, with 4.0 of titegroup, with an OAL of 1 140 thanks Chet
